Don't Ever Think of Dropping The SANYO VI-2300, not even on Carpet
I had been a loyal costumer of Cingular Wireless for many, many years, I had been using the same Motorola V60 phone almost as long. Anyhow, one day, after much convincing my wife talked me into switching over to Sprint. B I G M I S T A K E. I went into their store, signed on the dotted line & got the VI-2300 for fifty bucks or so and walked out with my new contract & 2300. No more than three minutes had passed, we were not even out of their parking lot, when the phone slipped out of my hand and hit the ground. Boink, the little glass piece busted in the handset, a section of the phone cracked & moreover, the volume in the ear-piece went in and out. Anyway I walked back in the Sprint store and spoke with the salesperson who helped me out...

Sanyo VI-2300
I have had my two phones for approximately three months. I have been having problems with the phone either not ringing, ringing after someone calls me and lets it ring four times, then it will ring, and then sometimes it will ring after someone calls and lets it ring one time. I am with Sprint and they said it was the phone. I think its their network. Does anyone know if it is my phone or the network? Thanks.

Sanyo as a back-up!
For 3 years I had used the older 8100 model and loved it. But I was swayed by the new A900 (the Blade) by Samsung mainly because of the Bluetooth option which Sanyo doesn't (at this time) have. So I use the A900 for multi-media use (which sucks the life out of the battery) and also bought the VI2300 for a back-up phone. For $10 more per month for an extra line I figured it would be worth the assurance to be connected. The other phone has since had a few glitches and needed to return it to the service dept a couple times and turned to my reliable Sanyo to back me up once again! The Sanyo VI2300 has been an excellent phone because of the dependability/excellent reception/battery life.I like both phones but as for having a stable phone, I'll al...

I don't understand...
Why are people complaining about the way a phone looks.
I personally don't like phones that have all this junk on it. I want a good, reliable phone.
Of course, that's what most ADULTS want. I find that only the kids want all the toys.
A phone is a phone. There is only so much that can be done with them. Keep in mind that people want cell phones that are able to fit in a pocket or a purse.
Should companies go back to the block phone???
Held one today
so i held one of the 2300's today. And in my opinion its a great entry level phone. The screen is the same size as the V200's. one thing i liked was the great sounding speaker phone. it was very clear. one of the things that did bug me was the backlight of the tiny caller ID screen, it was bright orange
*sigh*
Another bland Sanyo to continue the long standing tradition. The 8300 is no different either. What a borefest.
btw, Samsung A820 has ready link, a speakerphone and internal antenna. Look for shortly as well.

amazing
This phone looks amazing, its just too bad that this phone wont be available in Canada on any carrier. One can only hope that someday a phone like this is available.
Oh and just wanted to be the first to post.
