WTB: used Telus MiKe SIM type phone: rugged or BlackBerry

Email to: moving@gmx.net
Wanted to buy in or near Vancouver, BC:
used cellphone for Telus MiKe,
one of the relatively new models that work with a SIM card.
I will consider BlackBerry 7520 and rugged phones.
Here is a list of some of the rugged models:
Motorola i355
Motorola i325
Motorola i315
Motorola i605
Ooops, I think the last one was not released for Telus yet,
anyone has one from Nextel?

Antenna works on other phones

If you hate the constant extend/retract routine

AND/OR

want the phone to have optimal signal strength for incoming call notifications

AND/OR

are sick of partially retracting the antenna in the middle of a call due to running it into the brim of your hat

then be informed that the i325 antenna seems to work very well on other models. I would imagine that the i305 and i315, at least, would be able to use it well.

I am using it on an i605 (!!) with no trouble so far and seemingly great signal strength.

🙂

Cool phone man

🤣 That phone freakin rocks, I mean, if someone makes you mad all you have to do is pull it out of your pocket and start whipping them with it.

SSH for i325

Idokorro SSH does support this phone-- I'm running it as we speak. If there isn't a copy on their web site yet then you may need to email support for it.

Also, you need to register as an iDEN developer with Motorola in order to get the software that allows loading Java apps.
