Changing Text sounds, Alert sounds, etc?
Hello!
I want my phone to say "You've got mail" when I receive a text, but I can't because the phone doesn't allow for personal tones for texts, alerts, low battery (annoying), and other stuff.
Is there any way I can access anything on my phone? Any program that can take apart everything so i can see it?

I'm still waiting for their 2003 line of phones to show up in the US. I've been waiting for the T630 or Z600 or Z200 for many months. I finally got the T610 which is outdated, but only because Motorola couldn't deliver on the V600.
I'll believe Q2 or whatever when I see it.

Keypad lock?
does any-one know how or if you can lock the buttons from pressing in pocket or anywhere else for that matter?

dust under faceplate resolved
I came upon this solution by accident but none the less it works. I was loking to sell this hone on ebay and as an extra buying incentive, i bought a cheap faceplate (carbon fiber look). not only does the face plate stay on better, it is lighter than the sony ericsson and it did not collect dist in the front screen
Background noise
Does anyone have a problem with the background noise with this phone? I have it, and whenever I'm on the highway, people say it sounds like I'm in a tornado or something. The phone really picks up junk in the background.
I noticed this problem with the SE T616 as well. It seems to be an SE problem.
My girlfriend has the Moto. V400 and there's no background noise at all in my car, so I'm sure it has something to do with the phone.

Closed = Louder, Open = Quieter. (File Transfers.)
OK. So when I use the USB Cable to transfer files to the phone, I find that if the phone is closed, that the sound played for the completed file transfer is MUCH louder than if I have the phone open. Anyone else have this problem? Is there any way to make it quieter when it's closed, or should I just leave it open?
Has anyone had problems with the outside camera?
One of the main reasons for me to Sign In to Phonescoop.com was to ask for info and tips on my new GSM phone, the Z500a. So, here's my 1st question. My phone is having an issue where if I use the camera with the flip closed, it often shows lines instead of the picture. If I zoom in, it'll return to normal, but this is the 2nd phone I've had, and both do this... Got to go, but any info would help! Thanks.

My Phone Color just died on me
My phone color just died out on me and I can barely read anything beause its faded grey.
Is this just tellin me that I need to charge my battery or is it an actual problem?

Computer Connectivity / Memory
I'm thinking about getting one of these, it's between this and the Motorola v551. One question, Sony's software for pc connectivity free? I'm really just looking to download photos from the phone and upload mp3 ringtones to it.
Also, any chance the memory is expandable (I'm not holding my breath)?

Price without contract?
On the website it says the price is 79.99 with 2 year contract. can i go into the store and get this phone for 179.99 without a contract? plus the activation fee's and whatnot???

trade in or sell
hi i just got a SE z500a about 3 months ago and I hate it. Way too big for me. The phone is in perfect condition (not a single scratch) with just a front face plate problem (slides of real easily) which probably could be fixed by getting a new faceplate. Anyway, i was wondering if it is possible to get a trade in and how much would it pay out. Also if anyone wants it here i can arrange something. Just wondering.
