Motorola A630

I saw that someone here got there "dummy Units" in. dont those come when the actual phone is shipped? do they atleast give you a release date or do they just dropp em off at ur doorstep and say here put these in the display case.

i said this b4. will there be a holster or clip of any kind included when you by the phone? if not will there be a holster or sumthin available.

I am a steady customer for verizon and cant switch because my entire family is a part of the network. Thus, I have free in-network calling to my entire family. Will this phone ever come out in CDMA format? Can verizon ever pick it up? I have a v710 right now. Relatively no problems, but this phone is sooo cool. Answers anyone?

Just as a word of caution - if you buy a cell phone on Ebay or where ever, it is probably a prototype and doesn't have all the kinks worked out of it yet or is from over seas - either way, if it has problems, you're going to have a hard time getting a warranty replacment.

can the Motorola A630 Take Video and stuff? i heard it didnt from an unreliable source. i dont see why it would be able to play video and not take video.

I have a v600 right now, and I bought the a630 from a good friend of mine. Tomorrow I will have pictures of it proving it's in my posession if anyone is intresed in the phone shoot me an email. If I don't like the a630 I will be selling it. Let me know...

By the way... it's cingular branded, but it is unlocked =)

so far i have gathered that this phone wont have a sd slot, will have a camera with 4 zoom, be mid priced, and shout be coming out around mid nov. tell me if im wrong about any of this.

frankly i dont care when it comes out, as long as its b4 christmas. im 16 and my pops is getting me one for christmas because my motorola Accompli 009 gets very bad reception.

Ive waited so long for this phone and it is a waste of time now. I don't even know if this phone is coming out now and if it does whatever. I am so sick of this phone im just gonna get the v551. Motorola's release dats r a joke

Will the A630 be better on T-Mobile or Cingular

curiously, i just checked amazon for this phone... all searches came up with nothing, all previously posted links to the product no longer work, and the one i had in my shopping cart for reference is no longer there.

does anyone know if the qwerty keypad on this phone is backlit? i doubt i'll be as adept in the dark with a thumbpad as with a regular keyboard.

also, any conjecturing on why exactly there's all this confusion on availability dates and carriers? i'm getting frustrated... enough that i started looking again... and found the moto MPx (*sob* expensive, not cingular-compatible, and less-phone/more-pc AFAIK).

My only Q is:
I heard either her or CNet that the Calendar function when pulling from outlook doesn't grab the "location" field. I am not looking for a business device...I am looking for this device...but is there a way to tweak the OS or does anyone know of a calendar application that you could put on the phone to support this?

I'll get the phone either way...I just wouldn;t mind working out a kink or two 😎

Since the carries dont suppot two numbers on one sim card yet. Has anyone tried these dual sim cards? is it worth the trouble. Also, has anyone used one on the A630.

So whats all included when you buy this phone? Does it come with a holster? if not is there a holster available because i had a nokia 6800 and they didnt make a reliable holster for it. I ended up breaking my phone by bummping a table. (cheap P.O.S) I hate you Nokia!!!!

I've heard a couple conflicting things about the a630 browser... will it be an HTML browser (like with the Sidekick) or is it the standard WAP browser that is on other Motorola phones?

More often than not, I've heard it will have the latter.

does anyone know what the price will be through cingular for the Motorola A630? i hope it isnt 500 dollers like the ravr cuase i will be soo mad.

N.e one who has the phone already tell me if the camera is good. Im not lookin for something to replace my digital camera but i want to recognize myself in a pic. also does it zoom?
