Why the fuss now?
I remember watching T-mobile buy up UMA technology for years. And then when T-mobile introduced this feature nearly a decade ago, I thought it would revolutionize the entire cellphone industry and finally give T-mobile a competitive advantage. wonder what they are putting into this...
I wonder what the specs are going to be on this? Hopefully they do something big this time. the nexus has always been a good phone but never that amazing.. I wish they do put something great together...
Rogers just started preorders on their Optimus G phone today, and have been promoting it for a couple weeks already, touting an *exclusive* 2600mhz LTE model.
Does this mean an entirely different model, or are the Phonescoop specs here incorrect?
I've been searching far and wide to confirm what LTE bands the various Optimus G models will support- it looks like users will be SOL for roaming outside their own countries on LTE, since none of them appear to support more than the one or two bands used by the local carrier.. 😢
