Samsung SCH-A670

I just got my phone last night and i'm still learning how to use it but does anyone know if its possible to extend time that the front display stays light?

AND

Is there anyway to get the front display to light up while the phone is closed? (pressing the volume or camera buttons???)

i jsu got this phone and its awesome. i want o kno how to change the wallpaper for the phone. i hate the default wallpapers thy have. i sent my self wallpapers i found on the net but none of them fit on the screen right.

i just got this phone a few days ago, and so far i love it. But has anyone else gotten dirt under the outside display. you can see its in between the outside plastic cover and the LCD screen. Do you think verizon would some how make it right by fixing it?

I just recently got my a670. I have the deal where you can send 20 pix a month for 3 bucks. The dude said that there is a way to see how many pictures you have sent so far so you don't go over the limit. Does anyone know where that counter is located?

What's the best way to get started with downloading ringtones to this phone? This is the first cell phone I've ever owned that I've tried to download ringtones to. So I'm a complete rookie here. 😉

- How many ringtones can this phone hold?
- Do downloaded ringtones overwrite the existing ringtones?
- If memory becomes tight, can the existing ringtones be overwritten?
- I'd like to download standard ringtones, as well as some ringtones of my own creation. Do I need to use the Get It Now service for both?
- Do all downloaded ringtones invoke a charge?

Tried the Samsung Easygprs software to send files to the phone..

No Luck..

Anyone get voice ringers yet to work ?

I saw a message earlier that asked if anyone knew where to get standard, non-music ringtones. The music is great and all, but it doesn't lend itself to ones credibility when you are with clients and a song starts playing on your phone. Does anyone know where I can get some cool normal ringtones? I've tried the ones on Modtones and they are very limited and some are quite lame. Help me please

Can this phone send/receive picture mail w/ voice clips?

Also, it can RECEIVE video messages, right....just not send?

so i c that this phone is new. i was just wonder can u conncet it to ur pc? i heard u can get a a610 cable n it ill connect it to ur pc. does anyone know if they'll be making a cable for the a670? i mean i was just thinkin it fairly new so maybe more products will be avalivble in the future. just want some feedback. 🙂

Just received my a670 yesterday and so far I really like it. I upgraded from a a530. One thing is bothering me, and I just wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this. When I log into get it now and go to get tones, the only application listed is MODTONES. However, if I do a search from the main get it now screen, for XRinger, it finds it and I am able to download it. ALSO, when I go to WHAT'S NEW it lists Masttones, but again, that isn't listed in the Get Tones category. Anyone else experiecing this issue or know of a way to fix it.

When WAP 2.0 is rolled out by VZW this month, will the Samsung a670 support it?

I heard that this can be done with special programming...is it something that a verizon store will do for you if you ask? If so, can higher level damage phone? thanks

I have read that there are hidden codes that a programor can acccess on the phone to increase the volume of level 5 .... is this something that a verizon store would do if you ask? Can it damage the phone? Thanks

I want a few personalized ringtones, and since for the moment it looks bleek trying to use anything else, I wonder if i can convert these wav/mp3/wma ringtones i have into midi's.. reliably. I've found some software to do it but they usually fail quite bad. Any ideas?

2 questions...
1) How do you operate the zoom function for the camera/video?
2) Does this phone have an infrared port for data transfer?

Does anyone know if the 9900, 7000, or the 670 have external picture id that can be assigned to your callers from your camera pics??? I don't think the 670 does. Thanks
