I tried it yesterday at the VZW store. Sometimes the reps don't know all the features of new phones.

I have the A670 and you can assign pictures from your camera, so that when someone calls you it shows the picture on the external LCD.

I don't mean to be rude or question your answer, but are you sure you can have a picture id on the outside screen? I only ask because the verizon reps I called said no and I haven't seen the phone in person yet.

I am 100% positive it works too. I have a picture of my friend and me assigned to her entry, and when she calls it shows the picture on the external LCD.

Often times the reps in stores do not know all of the products. Unfortunately, it is always worse when phones first arrive in the stores. In a few weeks they will be able to offer better advice about the phones.

That is great to know. I have the vx6000 and i hate having that the pic caller i.d on the internal screen. I do have a question about the external caller I.D for those who have the phone. How clear is the caller i.d? I see that the screen is a 56k and was wondering if the screen is better or worse than the A530. Thank you in advance.

I'm able to see it without any problems, the only person I have in there is my girlfriend but I'm able to see her pic clearly.

I have the phone and have several people whose pictures come up on the external display when they call. It is too bad that the verizon worker does now know the product he is selling. Also the picture comes out clear and it's a wonderful phone
