Samsung SCH-A670

I just bought the Samsung SCH-a670 camera phone yesterday and I have a question about the camera feature. Is there a way to connect the phone to my computer to transfer pics to my computer? If this is possible, what cable/software do I need?

i followed emonks howto.. and when i get the text message i never hear my midi file play and i don't get the option to save the sound.

Is there any way to put different wallpaper on your front/external screen? Thats ridiculous if you can't, being that his has picture caller ID... Thhanks

Has anyone had any luck using this phone as a cellular modem with a usb data cable? I can find the data cable but don't know what software (if any) that I need to use it with my laptop. Thanks.

When I get an incoming pix message the display says "pix retrieving" even though I haven't done anything yet.

Is this charged as connect time ???

For some reason when I press and hold #, even though my phone shows that it is silenced on the display, it will still vibrate when I get a call or text message, or voice mail! I thought silent mode meant "silent" - as anyone with this phone knows, the vibrate mode is just as distracting as the ringer when quiet is necessary. 🤭
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Anyone have this problem? I can't seem to hit the "send" button and answer an incoming call when I'm already on line.

I realize it doesnt have an Mp3 player, but is there a way to get songs that have words onto the phone in any way... i guess thats what i mean? Thanks

Hi I currently have the T720 which is possibily the worst phone ive ever had... thats's why on my next phone i just need to make sure the battery life is decent. Can anyone just reaffirm the battery life and tell me how long you hold a charge for, under normal use? Thanks

How many photos will this phone hold? I see it only has 32 mb of ram. I'm considering this or the Audiovox cdm9900.

I've been trying to send myself pictures from the website but all I get is a text message saying to go to the website to view them.

I USED to be able to send/receive pictures just fine.

I called verizon twice, first time the girl told me that that option had been disabled so she put it back on, it still happened. I just got off the phone again and the girl said something along the lines of "that's how it works now, you can't receive the pictures on your phone because they keep updating and changing things" In which case I replied "so what exactly is the point if I send myself pics thru the website and they just stay on the website??"

I got the same stupid answer...

is it just me, or is there a way to turn OFF the flash, and LEAVE it off ???

i keep having to go in a turn the thing off all the time, is the "Flash OFF" setting supposed to stick ??? or is it reset to ON when you turn the phone off.

LOL, this is an hour of my life I'll never have back.

Bought the Mobile Office Kit, really just for the cable and the Phonebook manager. Was going great, wrote out several times as I built up my list. No problems.

When I was done (about 150 entries, average 2 numbers per entry), I tried to send it to the phone it would stop mid way, and reboot the phone.

After trying smaller sets, and sorting backwards I realized it always stopped on the same entry. And a VERY carful look finally found that I used ",com" instead of ".com" for the email addresses, and boy, it doesn't like that !

Don't do that.

The app doesn't warn it is an invalid entry, but ought to, I guess.

Can anyone out there (who has had the 670 for some time) speak to the quality of reception on the phone. I currently have a VX4500 within my 15 day trial and have been less than thrilled by it's reception inside some stores.. seems to have bad connetions/dropped calls. Problems I never used to have with my v60 and my other new v710 phone.

Therefore, I'm looking at the Samsung 670 or the new LG 6100 as a possible alternative for a phone with better quality reception.

Can anyone out there advise based on experience?

Ok well it seems that i have downloaded so many new ringtiones into tthe "My Sounds"folder that i don't have any more room to download anymore until i delete some of my existing tones. Is there any way at all to free up so more memory maybe by some how deleting the stock ring tones?

When we all first got the a670, it were preloaded with the slideshow wallpaper of flowers, animals, and landscapes - the date/time bar was also set to a nice navy blue color. I was wondering if it is possible to create your own slideshow with your own pictures and also modify the color of the date/time bar - as it defaults to white with your own images. Thanks.

Ok so when i woke up this morning and turned my phone on, a very wierd and mysterious thing happned. Somehow, my wallpaper picture was changed from teh picure that i left it as to another picture. Has anyone else ever had this problem. I mean it's not a big deal at all its' just very weird and mysterious.

Does anyone know how to disable the annoying loud sound that is played if a call is lost. Its just that you dont know if the call is lost until you hear that tone (or realize that the other person just isnt talking back) but then you hear nothing else, as I feel that the loud tone being jammed into my ear canal has busted my tympanic membrane.
In short, any help in eliminating that tone would be of much help.
