Use phone as cellular modem?

Has anyone had any luck using this phone as a cellular modem with a usb data cable? I can find the data cable but don't know what software (if any) that I need to use it with my laptop. Thanks.

Yes, it works wonderful ! Just buy the mobile office kit from Verizon, it includes all software that you need to get connected along with the cable.

Do you get charged for data or does it just use up your minutes? Also, if you buy a 3rd party cable do you need the software?
