size comparison

I was wondering if we could get some pics of the treo 800w, treo 755 and some other pda phones to get an idea of the thickness in comparison to the daimond and the diamond pro... i like the pro but would like a phone alot less thick than my treo 755p 😁

Landscape Surfing

Quote from review "The screen is large enough to make the mobile Internet rewarding, bit I do wish that you can surf with the phone sideways. The Diamond only surfs the Web in portrait orientation. "

You can surf opera in landscape, just turn it sideways since it has the build in accelerometer. Granted sometimes it doesnt register, it will do it tho...

Bad Information

The review states you need the adapter to use the headphones. Completely false. The headphones plug right into the phone without the adapter. Great Job there Eric.

Not too shabby HTC

I have to say, after reading this review, the Diamond doesn't look too bad. Being that I already own the HTC Touch, I'm extremely happy that HTC decided to expand on the Touch Flo user interface. I only wish my touch could adapt it. Now on to a sprint store and to play with the new phone!

Sprint TV application

For those of you who have this phone:

1) do you see CNN under channel listing of Sprint TV app?

2) when I opened the TV application for the first time, it came up with a message that I need to update. Once I went ahead with it, another message popped up stating that the old version will be removed. A "yes" on that brought another message that the application could not be removed and the upgrade failed. Has anyone else seen the same behavior?

Bad Battery

I have the Sprint HTC Touch Diamond And I absolutely love all the features this phone has however one day i charged my phone fully and didnt watch tv, no navigation, didnt text anyone, nor did i go on the internet and the phone was completely dead after three hours and its been like this since I got the phone. like i said EXCELLENT Phone features but the battery life i very very bad on my phone. i would hate to pair up a bluetooth to it because then i would probably only really get like 2 hours out of the phone. ANYBODY ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM YET?

Store availability

Anyone know when this phone will be available in the store? How about in Best Buy stores (the Sprint version)... Was hoping to pick one up on Oct. 1st when I am able to upgrade, and want to see it in person!

Advocate Waiting

I did not have enough time to fully do everything I wanted on this phone when a customer wanted a phonebook swap. I do however have a few questions for those reps who do have one. The manual for this phone online @ HTC.com in support states that the landscape view is not available for compact qwerty or phone keypad.. Does this mean that full qwerty is available in landscape mode? I could not get this feature to work. Plus I could not get the standard mode for yahoo.com. I veiwed the options menu for the web and only saw a select or deselect for mobile veiw. Either way I was not able to view the so called Operas real internet the way it is supposed to be viewed. The instinct is the only phone Sprint has that can. Can anyone tell me if there i...

When available in Store?

I know I can get one through telesales but would like to see and feel one first. Not sure if I can live with on-screen keyboard? Stopped in the local sprint stores here in columbus ohio and they had no idea what the device was... I know wait for the pro, but again would like to try one first as well. Been using treos for last several years...

Cheers

Stand Alone GPS

Hey guys. Can anyone who has this phone tell me if it has stand alone GPS, that is GPS that can work without the Sprint Data service. I want to use the GPS through a program like Garmin XT, Destinator or TomTom for Windows.

I now have the Treo 800W and it only works on the Sprint network. I want a phone that works like a regular car GPS system that uses software to connect directly to a satellite, not to a Sprint wireless tower. (don't want to sign up for the data plan)

HTC Diamond review ...

Please note that this is NOT my review as i have yet to get my anxious hands on this epic device ... just saw it on Yahoo! and thought i would share (patiently patiently waiting 😈 )

I was pretty wowed when I first got some hands-on time with the Diamond back in June, especially after checking out its glorious TouchFlo interface. But after a week with HTC's touchscreen handset, my enthusiasm started to fade. Why? Blame Windows Mobile.

Measuring 4 by 2 by 0.45 inches and weighing in at just 4.1 ounces, the Diamond ($249 on Sprint with a two-year contract) makes for one of the smallest and lightest Windows Mobile-powered handsets on the market—certainly much smaller than last year's bulky HTC Touch.

The Diamond is gorgeo...

Does the Diamond do/have??

Does the Diamond have a qwerty style keypad when texting?? And can you send pix/vid mesgs like normal, I know most windows phones you got to send it as a email instead of straight to someones mobile phone number??
