3.5 jack for instinct

My question is for the people that have already bought the Instinct, does the 3.5 jack allow for phone calls or just music? can i use my own stereo headset for both calls and music. and if so how does the Mic pick up my voice if its in my pocket?

Hacks for flash video, games, etc

Greetings!

I'm a noob to the whole forum/post scene so, please bear with me.

I'm satisfied for the most part with my instinct but, am curious as to what hacks are available. I'm not looking for anything too overwhelming but, I am curious as to what the options are.

My most immediate desire is to view flash video content on the web and get games of the "free" variety.

I understand these questions may have already been posed and, if such is the case, I'd greatly appreciate being directed to a particular thread or link.

Once again, I'm very interested in what's out there so, any info to keep me in the know would be very much appreciated.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

no wifi?

Full disclosure here, I'm a former sprint client that moved to Tmob. I have a device that has wifi and LOVE IT. If this device is so cool, why does it lack wifi?

instinct plan

Alright guys. I am not going to get into which carrier is better( see iphone vs instinct) or get into a war of words with anybody. Everybody has their own opinion. I currently have a Touch, which I have had for the past 4 months, with a 99.00 a month everything plan. I have seen in previous posting about the new Now network. I hate my touch and realize that I will be paying full retail. What is the Now network? I like the data features, and I live in a fairly rural area( a hour west of Atlanta) and Sprint's 3G is about the only fast network in town. I have been with them for 8 years and happy with them. Can anybody explain the new network to me and why the instinct has to have it?

Instinct Mobile Sync, Ect

I've been using the Instinct since it was released and it has seemed to slow down alot. It hangs up sometimes and texts randomly fail even when I have "full bars". Also mobile sync is not working on my phone and they told me an update is being released. Why does a new phone already need an update?

So I went to buy an instinct today...

I called the local small sprint store in my neighborhood where I pay my bill. I know the manager at the store so I called in advance before I went to the store. He had one left, the phone was in my hands I swear I was so close to getting it. but the ESN number was stolen on the phone so he had to call it in and told me come back tomorrow. it sucks but I am OK with going in tomorrow before 2pm to get it. It was so close to being in my hands. Did anyone else have these problems? I heard they were common..

Hands on with the instinct... pros and cons

A co worker of mine actually already has the Samsung Instinct... i got the chance to play with it and as always all the things i was skeptic about with this phone compard to all phones i went for first...

The Touch Screen: The touch screen of the Samsung Instinct has got to be one of the most advanced ones i played with, with no delay upon texting or going from menu to menu and back...One thing that i really liked was the force feedback from touching the screen which actually acknowledges to you touching the buttons... REally cool function...

5 out of 5 for touch screen

The Battery: This actually should have went first before the touch screen reason being that everyone who actually knows cell phones knows that ALL samsung phones a...

Addressing complaints for not place for stylus

i have read several complaints from people who say there's no place to put the stylus in the phone. That is true, but do you know about the leather cover that came in the box? It has a little stylus holder. Normally, I don't like cases but I can't imagine just dropping this phone in my purse unprotected. Not only that, but the cover, which is similar to the Upstage, simply flips open and shut, without the fuss.

Just thought I'd put that out there.

PLEASE LAY OFF THE SPRINT HATE!!! WHY IS IT SO STRONG?!?!?!?

play with it. its a GOOD phone. the screen is very responsive, it has all the features that you could want. i work for best buy mobile and i dont understand where all this hate against sprint is coming from. evry carrier is going to have dead zones. why is everyone acting like sprint is horrible. ive had sprint, nextel (when it was still straight nextel), and ATT, and honestly, i cant tell the difference between the coverage. of course if u live in the middle of nowhere (idaho, montana, dakatoas) there may not be as good of coverage as if u lived in a big city. all im saying is that the instinct is a very good phone that has as many, if not more, features as "The Almighty iPhone" so lay off the hate. The only thing that Apple has done better...

RATINGS DROPPING ON THIS PHONE DAILY

Ok, lets see , most of the people here that bought this phone couldn't wait to come here and start to say how great this phone is... Well lets BE REAL. How can anyone rate a phone owning it for all of 1 day or even 1 week that its been out. If you have notice the rating's are dropping on a daily bases on this phone, I wonder why ? LOL.
I don't look at ratings on this site for a phone until at least 6 months from when it's released. That is when the reality sets in on a phone. Why do you think carrier's give you 30 days ? If you going to start posting ratings on a phone, wait till the phone has been out, to be able to accurately RATE THE PHONE....

Touch Screen Broke Already???

I have had this phone for less than a week . I attempted to purchase the hard covers for it via Sprint but they seem to be sold out every time I check.
Today a went to pick up my phone and it slide out of the case they provide you with when purchasing it, fell less than a foot hit a book I had sitting on the table which caused it to have the tiniest nic on the touch screen . It is now officially inoperable. I can use the voice command to make a call but then have to turn the phone off to hang up!!!! For a touch screen phone you would think it would be a little more rugged no? Has anyone else had this problem? Hopefully the extra $7 a month I pay for Insurance will cover this otherwise I am screwed!

Has anyone figured out how to play DIVX on the instinct? I love the phone, but I'm still keeping service on my 6700.
