How long before a price drop?

How long do you think it will be before this drops in price a little bit?

I think I have found a replacement for my Samsung D900

n82 vs n95 vs tilt

I currently have a tilt, and I am unhappy with the size, qwerty keypad, and the CRAPPY camera (if that is what you want to call it). I was set on the n95 until I read about the n82...from the reading I think the n82 would work better as I am concerned about the camera and size. I am not a fan of slider phones.

Questions...

In some posts they talk about purchasing the "Garmin Chip". What is that? I thought the phone came with Nokia Maps installed?

Is this phone comparable to the size of my w810? Reading the sizes it looks about the same size.

The Obvious question for those of us NOT in Europe

Will this ever see a US 3G version? Nokia has been warming up to the US lately.

We aren't ALL that evil 😈

N82 vs. HTC (Cingular 2125)

I know the HTC Cingular 2125 is a coule years old, but it's a great phone. Does anybody know how it compares to the N82?

N82 - GPS and Bluetooth Conflict

This is not a big deal, but more a minor annoyance that would be nice to fix. My car has integrated bluetooth and the N82 connects and disconnects seamlessly entering and exiting. I found that the turn by turn audio prompts in my Garmin XT program mutes when I'm in the vehicle unless I switch off the bluetooth, but then, I have to raise the phone to my ear for calls while driving. It would be perfect if the prompts were audible through my sound system like the phone calls are, but that's not so. Unless, of course, someone here has the magic touch and tells me the secret.

N82 vs N95-3

personally, i'd still take the N95-3. If i was more of a shutter bug, it'd be a much harder choice.

N82 is first smartphone that can read text aloud to disable users

The Nokia N82 is world's first smartphone that translates photographs of written text into audio and then "speaks" the words aloud to users, and it's expected to become available in early 2008.

Cool stuff. Check it out.

Any and All Modifications/Edits to their N82 Here Please

I was wondering if anyone has edited or modified their new n82 in any way hardware/software/appearance.

Im more of a hardware or software tweaking person. Looking to improving the phone in any aspect.

If there are any helpful links or information you could share please post it here.

I personally cant contribute to this thread yet, i have received my new phone only 5 days ago and havent had time to do much testing and gain any experience. I still havent read the manual!!! I have only had the time to read the "Get Started" booklet!! =/ haha

Does 8GB SanDisk work on N82??

Has anyone purchased and tried using the "8GB MICRO SD MEMORY CARD FOR NOKIA N82 E51 6500 N76 N81" thats listed on eBay?

Does the phone notice the full 8Gigs on the card??

Thnx in advance! 😎

Just got mine...

Received this phone and I have to say it is extremely powerful. The pics are great however I have it set to 5x7 mode.

WiFi found my home network and locked on easily. The phone auto set up for ATT MMS and medianet. I don't miss 3G. Its plenty fast enough for my needs and w/o 3G the battery will last far longer. Reception so far is better then my wife's Sony.

I will post a review after a few weeks of use and the initial rush wears off.I can say this so far I like it better then the N95. The flash is amazing.

Getting around the phone is fairly easy but I am sure it will become much easier to place icons I use most on front.

It is the best $500 I have spent in a long time.

Who will get this?

I am guessing if it comes out here it may be
T-mobile or AT&T. What does everyone think? Or does anyone know?
