vu keeps trying to sync with music when not connected

so every time i fire up my computer near my wife's vu when it is plugged in and charging, it starts beeping and flashing that it is trying to music sync on the screen. ive checked to see if the bluetooth on the phone is on and it is not. any ideas? it is very annoying and can happen at any time during the night as my computer is normally on.

it may also be a coincidence but as far as i can tell it only happens when my computer is on.

NOT uninsurable!

For eveyrone that posted reviews saying the phone could not be insured...I just found out Best Buy will insure this and any phone for 6.99 a month without deductible.

question about pics

I'm trying to move pics into folders, especially since the slider is so hard to use with 600 pics. Is there a way to do this on the phone by selecting multiple files? I have done the multi select, but then there is no way to move the files in a bulk method. Help>?

data cable help

love my vu but I need the data cable to transfer songs, pictures etc. no stores have it, I called and emailed LG for the proper part number to buy online. the guy on the phone told me SGDY0010901, and offered to sell it to me for for $40+ then I got an email from LG that says
"Dear Customer,
We are delighted to hear from you as our Valued Customer. Unfortunately we do not have any available at this time since the phone is so new. Please check back with us again soon."
I can get the part number he told me online for alot less but I don't know if its right?
So has anyone tried it out and confirm?

Another set of first impressions

Haven't actually carried the phone yet, but I work for an AT&T authorized agent and have played with it a lot here in the store and here's what I've noticed:

Decent screen. iPhone's might be better but this one's very nice. Great for watching the MediaFlo TV.

MediaFlo is great! Plenty to watch for whatever you're wanting. Kid's shows, news sports, comedy and even a station that plays movies. The coverage might not be everywhere yet, but if you can get it it's very nice.

Touch Screen is good. I'll be honest, it didn't impress me as much as I hoped it would, but having the haptic feedback is a nice touch.

Menu system seemed, to me, to be very similar to the typical LG phone menu. That's a good thing though because, as much as I've ...

Used phone for 1 week

Went to my local store & had one Vu in stock, the store had been playing with it. I decided to purchase & at check out learned the phone was a model without the TV antenna, be sure you get the correct model.

After one week I decided I will return the phone. The screen is impossible to see in direct sunlight. Constant need to unlock the keypad and the phone is a real pain. Phone very slipery - easy to drop, would have been nice to have a rubber insert on edge. Battery life is very poor, text keys are too small to use.

I think I'll wait for the new iphone & see if thats better, or go back to a MOTO phone.

The only thing I liked was reception is very good.

915 vs 920?

What is the difference between the 915 and 920 models? I noticed on the premier site there is a $50 difference, but other than that, what else?

Initial thoughts

We just recieved the Vu this morning and below you will find my initial reaction:

After opening the box and powering it up, the first thing I noticed was how light this phone is! This phone seriously weighs less than a couple ounces.

The screen is a decent size, I think the iPhone's screen might be a bit bigger, but still, a pretty nice showing from LG.

The screen is very responsive, although not as responsive as other at&t phones (Tilt and Treo 750), its right on par with the iPhone. The haptic feedback (vibration) is very nice as well. The lack of multi-touch is kind of dissapointing, but the navigation isn't hindered by that fact.

Call quality is very good. While we haven't taken it on a network vault test yet, its still m...

Touch sensitivity?

Hi! Does anyone know if you can adjust the level of sensitivity on the touch screen? (ie. if you want to make it more or less responsive) Thank you!

Got it today..

Well i got it today and i must say from going from the iphone to the VU big difference. The web Browser on the vu is nothing compared to the one on the iphone, there is no gps, no Google maps, on the plus side the phone is loud compared to the iphone. The speaker phone rocks. I didnt get to try out media Flo yet because its not on yet. All in all its a good phone real light, and the touch is great too. Its so nice to be able to send pictures and videos again. In my its a good phone if you don't like the iphone or want something smaller then the iphone, but I'm sure i will bring mine back and wait for the 3g iphone next month.
