Samsung SYNC SGH-A707

Does anyone know what files this will run? I've tried Jar and Jad and it seems to recognize either. Do I need both? or is there another type of file that this will recognize? I've tried playing from the memory card, as well as from the phone.

How do I do it with the 707 I can't seem to find an option?

Also bonus: where do I get my pin number is there a default one?

I just ordered a SYNC and also order this cable....anyone else tried it?

I'm thinking about the A707 and I haven't seen too much info or talk about the battery life. What are people averaging with it. Talk time and Standby?

hey all. i was just wondering if it was at all possible to transfer music to this phone from a mac? and if it is, what software does it use? can u use itunes? or do u have to transfer them by bluetooth. thanks for the help! i really appreciate it

Everyday I look reviews, opinions, specs and photos of these phones, but I am not sure at all which is better! Here are the things I like about these phones.

SYNC- 2 MP Camera; HSDPA; THIN

CU500- ROTATING CAMERA; APPEARANCE; 65K EXTERNAL

BLADE- LARGE INTERNAL SCREEN; SPRINT; CAMERA

LG VX8300- MP3; SMALL; CALL QUALITY

Obviously there are alot more, I am just stating the most common. Some of these phones have the exact same features, such as Camera, MP3 Keys etc.

Now what I am complaining about is the the SYNC has a HORRRIBLE external screen and it's probably the less impressive phone in terms of good looks and material unlike the rest. Its kinda plain lookin. The CU500 has no FLASH in it's camera, and it has only 65k colors ...

Is there someplace where it's possible to post images or ringtones that I've made, to allow others access?

Can you turn on the speaker phone before the call is connected? On my SE Z500a you have to wait until the other person picks up and then go through the stupid warning about it being loud. On the RAZR you can turn on speaker phone while it is ringing.

Also...how much of a pain is it that you have to hold in the volume key to get the external display to turn back on (to check the time or whatever)? On my SE you have to hold a key for like half a second but it sounds like it's quite a bit longer on the SYNC.

I was waiting on the KRZR K1 but this phone is really nice and much cheaper than I'm sure the Moto will be.

Does anyone know if bluetooth can be used with the phone closed or does the phone have to remain open when using a headset?

Also can you use bluetooth to transfer files (mp3, pics, etc) from a pc to the phone?

I currently have a SE s710a and I love it because of all the features and free downloadable themes and because no one has it. I am a bit hesitant on buying this phone as it seems to be a downgrade from my current phone.

there is one bad thing in this phone. the external display light last for literally 3 seconds!!

and then when u play music, the light turns off in a little bit and then u have to hold down the side button for 3 more seconds to unlock it. this gets very annoying. Does anyone know if there is a possible solution?

I just purchased a Samsung Sync SGH-A707 phone from Cingular. When I get the phone, I'd like to be able to transfer songs, pictures, and games onto the phone. I understand that this phone supports USB 2.0. However, I can't find any information that tells me if I need a standard USB cable, mini USB cable, or something else.

Any ideas?

I plan on getting a new phone in Dec. which of these two would u choice ?

Any way to turn off the key lock on the outside music controls?? Seems like the second the phone is closed they no longer work and it defeats the purpose of having the external music controls....

I work for a Cingular Corp. store and the phone was suppose to be sold as of last saturday but on friday we got an email stating that all phones had to be sent back due to software problems. Never been a Samsung fan, but man thats gotta suck. If you have one, exchange, it has to do with the phone software getting corrupted after getting being conected to a PC but may also crash on you w/o a connection to a PC

Does anyone have any advice (besides haters on mac as this isn't a bashing site) on how to sync it with iTunes (say just the flash memory, etc.) or something besides x-fering via bluetooth / using a memory card reader for this 2gb Micro-SD that I have. Any other tips / tricks / iSync / anything info?

I'm thinking about buying this phone and i have few questions about the music feature. do you need the Music Bundle that Cingular sells t play music? also, how much memory for songs does it come with? (as in how man songs will it hold) Also, how much does each song cost? thanks!

I just got this phone and moved some full songs over from my s710a via Bluetooth, but it doesn't seem to give me the option to use these as a ringtone. Can it be done?

I fell in love with this phone at the Cingular store. Many reasons, but foremost is that beautiful interface...just how I like to see text, simple and elegant. They are expecting the new ones in this week, and can't wait to get mine and return this LG CU-500 that has too many flaws to go into, most of all it's very poor battery life.

I haven't heard any reviews mentioning battery life on the Sync. Anyone put it through it's paces yet? This is an important issue for me.

I think the guy who gave this phone the horrible rating on this phone is absolutely CRAZY!!

If you're looking for Cingy's best phone, at the best price then nothing compares to the Sync! The cu500 is great, but you have to be kidding me to think that it's better than the Sync!

Just because a phone isn't metal doesn't mean it's cheap, it means it's LITE!!!! Absolutely ASSANINE review!

But everyone is entitled to their own opinion I guess, but don't base your decision on that dumbass review!

When will this be available in Cingular stores? Or will it be available in stores, rather? I see that you can purchase it online.
