Unfortunately T-Mobile has no control over what other carriers offer on their networks. If you are in a very rural area, the chance of GPRS being available (the internet signal) is fairly low. For instance, in Holbrook Arizona (on I40 between Flagstaff and Albequerque) we have a roaming agreement with ATTWS (Cing) but the network does not support GPRS there. So switching network to ATT would not gaurantee GPRS.
Sorry.
Besides, there is a chance that you would pay a roaming internet charge anyhow.

Call Customer Care and ask. I want to say it is an offer just for new activations (not available for upgrades), but I do know that we offer lots of special programs for disabled customers (i.e. blind customers can get free 411 service)
There are special steps that need to be taken in order to take advantage of any of the offers.

I am in a rural area currently, the weird thing is that Immix offers phones that support GPRS so they have to be planning on upgrading their equipment sometime in the future. Also in this Area ATTWS has a tower that supports GPRS but T-Mobile doesnt have a roaming agreement with them. Does T-Mobile have any agreements with ATTWS/Cingular in Pennsylvania? Is it only in certain spots? Thanx for the input guys.
