expect to spend alot of time on the phone with customer service. The process for setting up the credit union discount: Need to register at www.sprint.com/verify. Need to provide additional form of identification. Copy of their membership ID, copy of Credit Union statement, copy of card, or discount notification letter addressed to the customer. Note: Membership ID number is permissible. Discounts may be forfeited if verification is not received within 14 days. Email or fax your name, order number, and the additional form of identification. Email at NVP-EmpVerification@sprint.com Fax at 877-687-8211 If the store says thier doing this for you....good luck with that actually happening. Then the adjustment for the activaiton fees will likely take 60 days or so. Also you won't have the disount on your bill until the application is processed. Sprint doesn't go back and adjust previous bills and the discount will apply to the MRC of your plan only, no add ons. Then when you apply for the 17% discount through your employer your account must be active less than 90 days when switching discounts or you will be subject to a 2 year service agreement. ( this doesn't affect upgrade eligibilty) Also the simply everything plan is not discountable. and your add a lines are not discountable. Effective 2/1/12 pricing structure changes on family plans for existing and new customers. For example everything data was 129.99 for first line and second line was free. and the 129.99 was eligible for NVP discount. on 2/1/11 Everything data is 110.00 second line is 19.99 and only the 110.00 is discountable.so your discount will only save 18.70 as opposed to 22.10 with the old structure. Think this through before you do that. Also if your credit requires an Account Spending Limit be advised that there is a 4.99 fee for that, which can be waived with auto pay being setup.

Leaving Sprint early for the Note

I am leaving Sprint early in order to get this phone when it's released. My contract end date is March 26, so pretty close. Any tips on avoiding penalties?

You can try telling them you are mentally handicapped and don't understand what an early termination fee. Otherwise you can wait a little less than a month to buy a different phone.

If you're content with Sprint, I don't understand leaving them for a phone, OK its nice. But don't you think Sprint and other carriers are going to come out with something similar? BTW, I am an AT&T customer.
