Thanks for the reply. I actually got the same information yesterday as well. The reserve cards say something about the "colors for each location may vary" in the fine print, so hopefully we won't have two phones that are blue/purplish. :)

3-inch screen (a whole inch bigger, and already 1230984035 times better than the SK3)

Swivel > Slide. It IS a Sidekick.
To me, not worth an extra 100, but I'd definitely spend an extra 50. Actually, I'd probably spend the 100 on the screen alone .. you can see vast improvement over the SK3 by just looking at the picture provided :p

yes da sk is the best messaging phone but the build and features suck hopefully they improved it from what i read the screen should be a million times better but let see if the browsing and music player is any better!

touch screen
UMA and video... sure, I could see those in the next new Sidekick.
Touch-screen is different. The Danger Hiptop OS simply isn't a touch-screen OS, so that would be a radical shift for them, and I'm not sure it would even make sense.
In fact, I would argue that when they added the trackball as an input method, that was what they chose instead of a touch-screen, and to change course with the UI now to make it touch-oriented would be a radical and unnecessary change to the OS.
Sidekicks aren't really designed to compete directly with something like a Treo, and even the iPhone is going after a slightly different market. The whole reason Danger created the Hiptop concept was to fill a niche that wasn't being served with devices like Treos. It's a different type of device, for a different type of user.
