Re: So I guess I can't Sync..period?!
The new Activesync (4 and 4.1) requires XP (with at least SP1). One thing you "could" try is getting a hold of an older version of activesync (like 3 or 3.5) and installing that.
NOTE : The 6700 was designed to use Activesync 4 and 4.1. You may some across some problems if you use an older version. But it is worth a shot.
If you try this, REMEMBER, do NOT put all yout valuable information into the device just yet. This is so that in the unlikely event you have to perform a hard reset to recover the 6700, you will lose all your info.
Good luck. Post here if you have any problems or questions.
Oh, yeah, do a google search for an older version of activesync. I think download.com has one. Good luck !
- Thanks !

Hope you got insurance pal....
If he returns it at the store and a rep does an exchange, it is not checked the same way as if he went through warranty. If something is wrong with the phone and sales rep overlooked it, then warranty writes it off, as does Cingular... Sales reps cannot take apart the phone, which is one of the reasons they removed techs from the store. Once a phone is opened, the warranty is voided from the manufacturer. Other carriers may do this, but they are assuming the responsibility after that, and honestly, I'd rather have the company that makes the phone work on it than the company selling... might get someone that can't even use spell check correctly.......
