I am looking for a good software to make my own ringtones from Mp3 songs. Is there any reliable and easy to use one out there?
Thank You.

The one I use is called Jet Audio(http://www.cowonamerica.com/download/). With this software, I can cut sections of a MP3 or WAV file to use as my Samsung A920's ring tone. To download the ring tone to my handset, I use a website called Phone Uploader(http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/) since I use Sprint.

The only software I have experience with is Xingtone and Motorola Phone Tools.

The nice thing about MPT is that you don't have to dip into your data plan to download the tone after creating it. Obviously, however, this will work only if you (1) own a Moto phone, and (2) have a data cable or a bluetooth-capable phone & PC.

I liked Xingtone a lot; I used it for another phone for which I didn't have a cable. The user interface was very easy to follow. You need to at least have a basic data plan to use it, though, since it sends you a text message containing a link from which you can download the ringtone.

since you did not mention getting the tones to the phone i am assuming your just talking about making them. So in my opinion a program called Audacity is the best free choice....

Have never used that program, but my suggestion is Audio Gizmo, available at http://www.download.com Use this to make the ringtone on your computer and then transfer cable to your phone.

I use Audacity and then message the tones to my phone. It took me a whopping 10 minutes to learn to work it, and best of all, it's FREE! I'd recommend it to anyone.

You need a free sound editor Audacity, nothing more.

http://www.makeownringtone.com » is a good service also (free and simple).
