Like they didn't see the big sign when they walked in? Wow. I get customer's coming in to ask where other company's are. I just tell them I am not sure.

give them the address for pizza hut. 🙄

Customer walks to the Cash wrap.

C: Well, I need to know if I'm in the right place.

Me: U.S. Cellular?

Customer laughs obnoxiously, then gets this really serious look on her face.

C: Is it (competitor's name)?

Me: 😳 It's right down the road.

C: Ok, that's all I needed then! *laughs obnoxiously again*

Dammit! Why didn't you get an autograph for me?! I've been trying to get a Terri Hatcher autograph for ten years!!

Reminds me of a call I got earlier... from some guy in Philidelphia.

him: is this WPI?

me: 😕 yes, it is.

him: do you go by any other name?

me: no sir, it is WPI US Cellular.

him: hmm, just want to make sure we're not taking away from anyone else... We wanted to sell you accessories

me: 👀 oh.. okay..

him: yes, your name was Kayla? That's who I was referred to..... oh wait, I see you guys have a store in Des Plaines??

me: ☹️ mhmm..

him: okay, I'll be calling them. Thank you!!

You could always send them to a store on the other side of town, or better yet, send them to a different competitor's store, and tell them even though the sign says Network A, they sell phones and take payments for Network B also. Tell them if they can go home and get a bill showing they have been a loyal customer for X amt of time, the store will give them 50% off all accessories! 😈
