We don't really do it unless the discount provide has that info to wavie it. Other then that we don't do it unless notes state so.

We can waive activations through the reps that work with us and for some of the companies give you bill credits for the activations...if you buy from us.

My company takes care of all activation fees. It's nice. Good selling point.

Like I said in the above post:

Nope and I've never paid an activation or upgrade fee. I've never agreed with having to pay enigmatic charges just to be a customer.

In fact, my wireless plan is loaded and ridiculously cheap - in fact, I'd be willing to bet my plan rivals and beats most employee plans (at least from what I gather here and at other sites).

and you probably have never paid tax either, right?

Actually, it's funny you mention that.

As far as wireless is considered, I don't pay any taxes. I actually receive a credit each month that offsets taxes and then some.

I pay taxes everywhere else though unfortunately.

Wow, I figured a mogul like yourself would try to stick it to the man wherever you could... you should work on that.

I've never paid an activation fee in my life:

- "Alright Mr. Burke that'll be x$ for activation..."

- "I'm not paying a fee to activate my phones"

- "Sir this fee is required..."

- "I won't be purchasing these phones, or signing to a contract with this provider if you insist on charging me an activation fee"

- "Well let me see what I can do for you here, we'd hate to lose a valued customer over something as silly as an activation fee."

If you are upfront about all costs and charges in the store at the time of sale you wont have people coming back in irate/confused about nickel and dime charges on their first bill. End of story.
