Only if it's the kind you'd see in the Sunday comics.

If everyone can tell exactly what word you mean, then no.

Why not just use nicer words like darn and fudge? 🙂

OK cool. I would never use it as part of a personal attack, but maybe use #$%& instead of dam_.

It's the use of symbols, such as %$#&*, for the purpose of masking profanity. Commonly seen in comics.
