Help Needed! re DST time shift

Rich Brome

Nov 6, 2007, 4:03 PM
If times aren't being displayed correctly here on the site since the DST time change, please reply to this thread.

Please include the browser and OS you are using.

Please also mention whether or not your computer has been restarted since the time change. If you haven't tried that, please try that before replying. It should update by the 2nd page you view on phonescoop.com after the restart. If not, please let me know here.

Thanks! 🙂

Firefox on Ubuntu (Linux).

The restart didn't work for me.

I've restarted a couple times since the time change. Every other board seems to be reading the time correctly.

You're the only one using a relatively popular browser/OS combo. Hmm...

(still figuring out the best way forward)

I think I've fixed it once and for all.

Of course I say that every year (twice a year, actually 😉 ) but I have a good feeling about this time.

If you still have the wrong time, quit your browser (all windows) and start it again. On the 2nd page view of this site, the time should be correct.

Please let me know if you still have problems.

You don't need to post to test it. The easiest way is to go to the main Forums page and check the time for the "most recent message" in the Lounge forum. As active as that forum is, it should be pretty close to your PC's time.

Make sure your browser is set to accept cookies. It won't work without cookies.

Thanks for your help with this!

what worked for me on both IE and opera was deleting cookies and restarting my browser.

After that i was good to go.

Hope that helps you.
