What phones/browsers can do web sites with JavaScript?

I have a T-Mobile Sidekick and I generally love it.

However, part of the appeal of a web browser was the ability to blow into a town and buy a hotel room last minute using Priceline, Hotwire, or Expedia.

Every one of those web sites requires JavaScript to make a purchase.

I'm aware of the new Treo 600, and have given that some thought.

But frankly, I wonder if there's not another cheaper answer.

I generally carry a separate Verizon phone from the Sidekick anyway.

I'm wondering if there's some device out there that can serve as my day to day telephone, and operate JavaScript web sites. Even if it lacks a keyboard, though I'd prefer one of course.

The rare occasions when I need to buy a hotel room, I could deal with a few ...

6340i user needs help using for data!!!!!

I have a 6340i phone that I believe the salesman told me I could use to connect my laptop to the INTERNET. I bought a laptop that dosen't have a ir port so I had to buy the cable to connect to my serial port.

i downloaded the pc sync software and successfully sync'd my outlook. I have the gait plan and have had no success connecting the phone up as a modem. It tries but gets an immediate busy signal like something is wrong.

I am looking for this to really help my business.

Any suggestions??

Anyone know about the Nokia 6340i?

I was just wondering if anyone out there has had any experience using this phone with AT&T Wireless. I am interested in a GAIT solution to use with their service but I am not particularly fond of the Siemens or Sony Ericsson models they have offered. I have been told that the WAP browser that is on the 6340i does not operate on the GSM side of the phone and that even an unlocked 6340i needs a specific SIM card in order to make use of both the GSM and TDMA networks. Any help is greatly appreciated. 😕

phone compatability

I use Cingular GSM service. I don't like most of their phones, and Cingular's phones all seem to use a frequency of 850. Does anyone know if I can use other gsm phones (which arent 850) with my service? I know they have to be unlocked. But would it even work?

Frequency questions...

As I understand it 800/850 are really the same band in the US (or is it all of North America?), and that this band is currently AMPS only but is switching over to GSM.

900 GSM and 1800 GSM are what the rest of the world uses.

And 1800 is what the US (N.A.?) has been using for digital mobile service.

Is all of the above correct, and if not will someone please enlighten me?
Thanks in advance!

color screen push to talk with Verizon

I am currently with Cingular....and I want to switch to Verizon as soon as the law goes into affect on 11/24 (so I can keep my #).
I definitely want push to talk....but the only push to talk phone that Verizon has...doesn't even have a color screen.

Does anyone know when and if Verizon is planning on putting out a color screen push-to talk phone??
