Highest Resolution?

Just wondering from personal experience, what phone has the highest available resolution when dealing with still pictures, almost comparable to a stand-alone digital camera??

In Japan and Korea, they have megapixel camera phones now, which are starting to approach the quality of a standalone digital camera. In Japan, most camera phones use CCD sensors (often better quality than CMOS) and they even have 2-megapixel camera phones now. In Korea, the megapixel thing is just getting started.

Outside of those two countries, I think the top resolution we've seen so far is VGA, which isn't that great. Don't expect to print a VGA photo at any size larger than a business card without seeing blocky pixels (on a decent printer).

But megapixel camera phones will reach American shores soon enough. Kyocera has a couple of sweet swivel-style phones with megapixel cameras out in Japan right now, and I know that they are pla...
