What does everyone think of this "augmented reality concept app"?

This looks very, very interesting. Some technology called Augmented Reality (AR).

Check it out:

Motorola rokr Z6m not working

It started yesterday. The phone was working fine the day before that, woke up to check my text messages tried to open the message, and it brought me back to the home screen. Did that 2 times and it shut off by its self. I try and turn the power on and it does nothing but bring up the M logo and stays that way. Wont turn off or anything... I don't know what is wrong with my phone. I still have about 5-6 months left on my warranty from Motorola...

LG EnV "Touch" - who is the culprit ?

Is Verizon still up to their old tricks (from 2005) where they are blocking any kind of attachment ( music/sounds) sent to my LG "Touch" phone? đŸ˜ŗ

I received a self-sent text message with a 456 KB MP3 file attached. The text message arrived with notation "attachment removed". đŸ‘ŋ

Is this Verizon (again) or Earthlink? Both are pointing fingers.

Thanks, The Squareman

Want external antenna port

Many of us living in the rural and sparsely populated western states need an external antenna to get reliable service.

An alarming trend seems to be the elimination of the external antenna port on new phones.

I hope the manufacturers read this forum.

VZ HTC Ozone vs BB Tour

I'm not sure if this is the right forum but my question is I'm looking to purchase my first smartphone, I'm between the htc and waiting a couple of weeks for the tour. I'm looking to use it to check personal email(gmail and aol), sports scores, stock quotes and browse and search the internet. I'm sure once I start playing with it I'll be using all sorts of apps and other stuff. I'm not really sure what the difference between WinMo and the BB platform are, I have no bias either way but the VZ reps keep telling me to wait for the tour but couldn't give me the pros and cons of each. I'm wondering if anyone had any insight on these and if its worth the extra 150 for the tour

Can anyone suggest another phone that has the exact same internet capability, with a touch screen and access to a large amount of applications. My current contract is up with Sprint. Sprint, AT&T and Alltel are in my area.

Winmo Direct Push email

So I got an HTC Fuze, unlocked it, ripped the software and installed new non-AT&T ROM. I'm trying to get some direct push software for instant email notification (like what is available for Blackberry).

I know that there is software that it is "supposed to be" available with the new version of software that is available for the Tilt, but since AT&T hasn't officially released the technology for it, the phone is not bringing up the PIN# required to run off of Blackberry's server, so that software won't work.

Anyone have a (preferable free) fix for this? Or new software that can be downloaded for "instant" email notification.

Thanks in advance.

Using a cell phone as a modem for faxing (WITHOUT data)

I have a Motorola V365 (GSM) with T-Mobile. Recently, I switched my land-line over to T-Mobile as well for VoIP. In the past, I've always used Windows fax with a modem to send faxes, but, now that I'm on VoIP, that's now impossible (incompatible).

I'm trying to find a way to connect my phone (via USB) and use it as a modem (on nights and weekends) to send faxes like before. I don't want to use one of those rip-off internet fax companies, and I don't want to have to get a land-line. My call phone plan doesn't include data.

From what I've found, I installed Motorola Phone Tools, the phone modem drivers, and the computer recognizes the phone as a modem. Good so far. I can dial a number from my computer desktop (with the application) and c...
