Sprint Premier

I remember reading something not too long ago in I believe a news artical about Sprint's introduction of "Premier Customers". The artical included the bonuses and requirements of being a "Sprint Premier" Customer. I can't seem to find the artical with the "Search Site" option.
Am I trippin or was I reading elsewhere or did it get deleted or what?

suggestion (options)

I just thought about something, and I'd like to suggest it. I thought it'd be nice for the original poster (person who starts a post) to have some moderator-like options in order to control some of the mess that sometimes a post can create.
Say that I post a questions about a service X carrier has, and I get a whole bunch of replies of other plp telling me that my carrier this and that. How about giving the poster of the thread the ability to clean (delete) these useless replies?
Could this be done?

Twitter

FYI, we recently added Twitter to our "Share" options. You can now Tweet a Phone Scoop news story (or any page on the site) with just a couple of clicks.

While we're on the subject, Phone Scoop also has a Twitterfeed, which is pretty much our main RSS feed, but in Twitter, if you prefer to get your fix that way. Follow us here:

http://twitter.com/phonescoop »

On occasion, we'll also post extra things to the Twitter feed that aren't in the RSS feed. If we just want to point out some awesome scoop that's otherwise buried deep in an In Depth article, for example, that's where we'll do it.

LG 8100 cannot lock PCS CDMA channel

We have a very strange issue on the LG 8100 handset. We configured the LG with a PRL that contains only one single CDMA channel of type PCS. The handset is not able to lock the PCS channel. The phone goes into an infinite loop of scanning. We spent a month troubleshooting the issue and we didn't succeed to solve the issue. However, we configured the same phone model with a PRL that contains a single 800MHz channel and the phone works fine. Can someone help us to narrow down the problem or refer us to tools and/or other references that could help us?
Many thanks in advance

PM function request

I realize you don't want a ton of messages hanging around on your server, but how about a PM function that doesn't send you an email... Where you can actually check your messages on the site? Maybe they auto delete after a week or a month, or maybe you can only have 100 before you can't get anymore...

It would be nice, me thinks... if you could do that.

Spanx. 🙂

Carrier Forums

The Carrier Forums launch page from what I have noticed has always had the Carrier "icons" listed in order of largest carrier to smallest carrier. I noticed recently that T-mobile has overtaken Sprint and Big S has rightfully been demoted to #4 on the hierarchy list.

With the Alltel acquisition, VZW is now bigger then AT&T by subscriber count. Why has this icon re-arrangement on the board launch page not yet been updated?

Nokia 2600

There is an new edition of the nokia 2600 offered as a replacement option from AT&T (an upgrade from the 2610).
The only 2600 that you list is the previously offered prepaid phone.
Any chance this is going to be updated, or are you skipping it due to the device similarities?

valid email address

Why am I allowed to register using an email address that has a + in it, but not modify any settings? (i.e. username+ps@gmail.com) I use this to filter email messages sent to me, as gmail sends anything sent to username+anything@gmail.com to username@gmail.com

Java permissions on LG phones problem

When you do a review of phones on phonescoop.com and you are looking at the ability to support Java applications could you give us a little more information than a simple yes/no for J2ME? For instance, I am copying below a message I am sending to LG about problems with Java permissions on the phones that effectively makes the Java applications useless because the permissions nag screen is so bothersome. I don't want to buy another phone with Java crippled like this! Here is the problem statement that I sent to LG:

Will you please fix the problem with Java permissions that seems to plague most LG phones that AT&T sells!!! Note that phones from Samsung, Motorola, etc. don't have this problem. The problem is that when you download an un...

Closed Forum

Hey I was curious as to why you guys closed the CES2009 forum?
The pre has yet to be released and there isn't a forum for it (other then Palm's forum [one of the most dead forums on this site]). So I thought the CES Discussion would be the best way to chat about newly found information/questions as release time gets closer.
