The past two times that I have gotten a red banner there has been no email sent. This last time I havent even been on the site for almost 24 hours. PLease let me know if these have been sent out in error, or at least send me an email letting me know why my account is being flagged.

When logging on recently, I saw a message that said that I was being sent an important message in regards to my account. I checked my email that is tied to this account, and I didn't see anything, save for a message from another user sent yesterday. Could you possibly resend the email, or let me know if there is an issue with my account on the forum? Thank you for your time.

I noticed qHD (Quarter High Definition) is not listed in the Glossary. Honestly, none of my internal stuff describes exactly what it is and I'm more of a software person than a hardware person. I can't find the time to look it up on my own and restricted browsers at work are not conducive to this ☹️

Can you have information on tablets as well as phones? Reviews, news, etc. They're pretty much larger phones, and being able to look up specs and reviews for them here would make things a lot easier.

I feel like it would add a certain level of class and sophistication to the site if the "Shop Talk" forum were renamed "Ye Olde Shoppe Talk".

Good/bad idea?

I'm pretty frustrated. It's hard to find a good website that will let you search for phones WITHOUT certain features. I've tried phones with touch screens and I'm sick of them. So I'm trying to find a small, efficient Verizon phone with no touch screen. I found a website that let you search with this criteria, but there was no way of telling what service provider the phones listed there were capable of. Is there any way I can search for a phone like this?

After reading reviews, I click "Reviews" and then Phonescoop on my computer completely dies. I am running Firefox 3 I believe..it's my work PC, haven't tried this at home though. It does this on IE 7 or 8, whichever one we have as well.

This may just be an issue on our computers but not sure if anyone else has this either.

I've never seen any of my subscriptions expire, and all of a sudden all of them but three did, and now there's a message that says "Subscriptions expire after thirty days". Is this a feature of the new site code?

Am I just missing it or is there no iphone-specific area of the forums? No Apple forum under 'manufacturers', no iPhone forum under 'platforms.' I've seen the argument that Apple only has the one product which doesn't merit a dedicated forum but, really, with the popularity of that product and, now, the legitimate app development community I'm quite surprised that the best cellphone review site on the web (yeah, I'll stoop to prodding with flattery :-) ) doesn't have a discussion forum for the iPhone.

When clicking on links that take you to an external source (Like source links on your news articles) can you change the default option to open the link in a new window/tab?

I know I can do this just by right clicking but this is one of the only sites I visit that seems to do this.

Am I the only one that wants this?

I am an Android user myself and have been following its development for quite some time. To my knowledge the phone prompts you in any instance where your location data may be stored or updated at least the first time you use an application, and will prompt when you first boot the phone to allow the phone in general to track location. Is there a seperate function of the phone that tracks your location even if you opt out of it? To my knowledge I haven't heard anything about that outside of this site before.

Is there a way that there could be the option to view a phone review entirely on one page as opposed to having to click through the different sections? Maybe as a link at the beginning of the review or something?

and I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but I've noticed in quite a few of the preview/review pics for phones that the person who is taking the pictures has very dry hands.

In all honesty, I found myself so distracted by the hands in the pictures that I had a hard time looking at the actual phone. As well, I think it kind of hurts the professional image of this site.

And again, I'm not trying to be rude here, but it is something that I've heard other users mention in the past as well and I figured it should be brought to your guys' attention.

Have you guys considered doing app reviews for the site? If so, need a writer? 😁
