What, no outrage?

Wow, this is a quiet place. In other wireless forums T-Mobile people are really upset that cingular (again) gets an exclusive on the new Apple iPhone with some saying that they're going to go to cingular because of this whiz-bang phone.

Visual voice mail is a cingular exclusive developed by cingular.

Honestly, who cares about visual voicemail. What an exclusive! You can go through and delete them individually without an order, WOW!And 60% of people I talk to hate their voicemail anyway, especially being that email through phones and sms are 10 times more popular for messaging these days. It will only be convenient for some and the rest of the features are all available on t-mobile, so in my personal opinion, buy the phone unlocked and stay with the better of 2 companies.

they don't have near the coverage of the top 3. So maybe half the country would. Hell ND, SD, Montana, KS, Colorado has very small coverage if any at all! Yes I had them and were they work they work pretty good. But so does the other 3. And their customer service is ok too but so are the other 3. So to say they are better is well I jsut don't see it!

Cingular, now AT&T, is the better of the 3. With AT&T taking control, more money will be spent in upgrading new devices, coming out with new plans, newer features, more competitive pricing, better advertising... etc. SD, ND, Colorado, Wyoming... lol... why would you need very much coverage up there anyways? There is like a town ever couple of 100's of miles. T-Mobile is good. I will agree. They are very easy on customer service, and the phone deals are ok. My roommates Sidekick broke, and they just sent him a new one, never did insurance, never got charged for it! I liked that fact. The only thing is, is that the same thing was being done with AT&T Wireless was around. Towards the end of their life, they started giving phones away,...

I agree. The HP ipaq h6315 is a prime example of this. When a phone tries to do EVERYTHING, it can't seem to do ANYTHING well.

That's the best example of that ever. If apple makes the phone in the shadow of it's computers I would have a lot of faith in it, but there is always the dark side of the ipod addition, if it is modeled from it I would be very concerned. I don't know one person that hasn't done at least 1 exchange on their ipod...if not more.

I have not seen a jukebox (mp3 player) that is good. I have a Zen Micro and I've had to get it replaced 2 times. My ex-girlfriend had an Audiovox one and it broke. And, like you, I know a lot of people with iPods that broke.

My guess is that it's just a first model and that there will be other more advanced models later.

The iPhone is way over rated. Just like then the RAZR first came out, Cingular had it exclusively for a year and a half. The RAZR first went for 500 dollars in 2004. The iPhone is the same way, expensive at first, and stuck with Cingular for 2 years and eventually everyone will have one and by 2010 you will be able to get it for 50 dollars. Well being one who ONLY uses Nokia candy bar styl phones, I say let the fools who want to spend over 500 go f...

I have a cell phone from Tmobile. I have an IPOD Nano. Why do I need to spend $500 to $600 to have it all in the same package? They are both small. Besides, Tmobile has much better coverage than Cingular/AT&T in my area. Not worth the switch.

My thoughts exactly...except insert MP3 player for Ipod nano. 😁

a lot of people think I'm weird because I refuse to call them MP3 players. I refuse because they don't just play MP3's. I call them Portable Media Jukeboxes.

If it's GSM (which is what cingular is) of course it has a place to insert a SIM! You never activate a phone with GSM it's always a SIM card.
