I recently paid 350 for a Samsung T809. Wasn't satisfied with it because it felt cheap and the buttons were so sticky and fragile. So the next day I took it back for the T509. Wasn't satisfied with that AT ALL, felt that if it were to be dropped I wouldn't have much of a phone any more. The next day I again took the T509 back for the T809 again because this one's buttons weren't fragile and sticky. A few days after having it it wouldn't send picture messages and T-Mobile didn't help me with that one except for telling me to return it. After having it for a few days I notice finger prints just accumulated on it terribly. A lot of other things bothered me about the phone. So here I am, returning the T809 again for another new phone. ...

No, I love T-Mobile. I get great coverage and signal plus they're customer care is ALWAYS great. I just would like to have a new phone from them. Stuff that I NEED in the phone is a camera, bluetooth, and good signal.

well you cant get the first 2 with tmobile just the last one, I was very happy with tmobile for a long time ( 3 yrs ) but their lack of even one high end cell phone after 3 years I could bear no more. I got the sanyo katana with sprint for $70 and I paid $300 for a tmobile mda and it cant hold a candle to the katana

You could always try the T-609 it's got the exact features of the 809 only it's a flip. The other option I can think of is the Nokia 6103.

i have a t809 and have had no problems with it. its prob one of the better phones i have had. as far as fingerprints go, did you think you were going to be able to use your phone and not get any on it? someone on here posted that 809 models that were manufactured prior to 2/06 had problems. i also bought a SK3 a few weeks ago. that phone gets better reception in my area than the 809. the only disappointing thing is its lack of video capture and MMS capabilities. other than that the SK3 is a great phone and does its job great. sorry you had bad luck with the 809. as for the guy that said go to sprint, sprint is garbage. i was with them for about 7 years and their customer service is piss poor. i had dropped calls everywhere i went ...

Thanks for the help.! I just didn't like how the 5 way toggle on the Samsung T809 felt. I prefer a phone that doesn't slide. I also don't intent to pay $429.99 for a Sidekick 3. It just seems outrageous. But thanks anyways and I definitely agree with you on the Sprint thing.

You're just amazing. We all love you for not calling customer care. We all wish we knew as much as you do. Will you ask George if you can take over for him? You'd probably do a better job than he is.

It's always so interesting that someone can say "end of discussion" as if they somehow are the one that decides when a topic has run its course.

Or you have a billing issue. You don't have to be a cell phone idiot to have something like a cloned phone, or a billing system that makes a mistake.

Have you looked into the T609? It has the same features as the 809 except that you don't get a memory card with it. I know it's not that attractive but you don't like sliders but you want the features.....You can always buy a case for it. As for this genius saying customer service is for Cell phone idiots.....yeah.......I sell phones all day and i still have to call customer care from time to time for various reasons. Add features, change my plan....And i don't want to talk to some rude schmuck. So i'm glad T-mobile revolves everything around Customer care. You'll hate Sprint when they start implementing their Mystery charges like they did me and everyone else i know.

I used to work for SprintPCS, in one of their call centers. Their main focus was upselling the customer. No concern for employees or customers. They were actually impressed b/c I was nice to customers, since it wasn't expected. You could sit there and give them all the bad info you wanted, and they didn't care. All they cared about was "Did you Maximize (upsell) the call?" They would give us training where they would tell us, "Just do your of...

go for the nokia 6103. the phone is cheap, last longs, have the best reception, and all the features of a more expensive phone including camera, video record, blue tooth, radio and the coolest part is you can actually set your alarm on the phone and power the device off and the alarm will still sound, so you can get undisturbed sleep and still have the alarm clock.. good luck 😁

Allright, so that was kinda mean. In all seriousness, I am picky about my cell phone as well. I like the 6103, has all the features you want, plus an fm radio and nokia phones tend to be tougher and get a better signal. Also like the t609, has more advanced features with the mega pixel camera, mp3 player and voice recognition software. Only reason I don't have the t609 is cus it's white and I don't want a white phone. I like those two new samsungs on phonescoops front page, look like they'll be pretty nice when they come out.

The consensus on this board seems to be that you should get the 6103 or the t609, both nice phones in my opinion.

Oh, on the toughness of the t809, my brother-in-law has had that phone for about 8 months, and...

I have the Moto V360 and it has worked perfectly since I got it last year. I love the mp3 player and the fact that it comes with a 64 mb memory card and it supports up to 512. It also has great signal, bluetooth, and a camera. It's not expensive either. Good luck. 🙂

I didn't even think about the V360 because my store has been out of them for so long. It is a great phone. Everyone I've sold it to loves it! I wish we still had them but i guess Motorola is getting ready for something new. Hopefully it will be as good!

Motorola V360. It has mp3 capability, expandable memory, decent camera, decent video, bluetooth. I've abused mine horribly and it still works like a charm. Nice battery life. Mediocre signal. I can't say enough nice things about this phone.
