If you are at at 11 months or later since last discount and on a qualified reateplan you recieve the same as new customer dicount. This discount is eighty dollars off of full reatail and any rebates that apply. You can recieve the eighty dollar discount without renewall but rebates do not apply. A qualified rate plan is 39.99 and above. If you are before the 11 month period or not on a qualifies ratplan (29.99 and below) you recieve $45 off of full retail with renewall of one year from the date of purchase. Full retail without extension.

Wow...80 bucks after 11 month if you spend good money with us, if you are an emergency phone user or a low call amker, well then SCREW YOU! THAT'S THE WAY to treat a valued customer.

Take a lesson from Daddy Cingular. Minimum of $100 off the no contract price (what you call "full retail" is still a subsidized price...lol) for ANY subscriber... from 19.99 on up. Give them the damn rebates on top of it. Then you have a value!

The thing with upgrades is a bit tricky. Can you upgrade with Cingular after 3 months? NO.......
Can You with T-Mobile? Yes, So you may have to pay a little more for a phone, but at least you can. And cingular you can't upgrade on a 2 year contract for at least 16 months. I know, because I worked corporate for them also. So Daddy Cinglar, lick my balls.

Yes but if I am on the 29.99 plan no matter how long I stay with them I will never see more than 40$ off of msrp. That's a great company policy. I am switching once I find a good deal on a V600.

The fact of the matter is that any wireless carrier reserves the best deals for customers who are at their $40 price point. The reason for this is that selling you equipment at a discount and maintaining your account with customer care and technical support, etc. costs them a fair amount of money, and to remain profitable they need to make that money back. At least with T-Mobile you are only signing a one year contract at a time. If you really want to take advantage of the system then change your price plan to get the better deal and then switch back. I don't really think that's honest, but I'm not your parent.

I've been with the company for about 2 years. I had months where I went over my minutes and paid their outragous fees, rarely call customer care and you are saying that I wasn't profitable for them? Even if I wasn't profitable, there is nothing wrong with taking advantage of the system-it means that their business plan is not right. So let's see for about $206 extra a year I will get a shiny brand new V600, 2x the amount of minutes. This compares to about $200 if I went out and purchased a v600 on my own. I think it's worth it. If Cingular and AttWS are doing it, they can't loosing money on this, otherwise they would go bankrupt. Also, AttWS has 1 year service agreements....

Have you also discussed your concerns with customer care. Don't act silly but just tell them how it is sort uf discomforting. Tenure no matter how much you believe really is a factor. I see exceptions made from time to time. Just remember that the more of a jerk you are the less customer care will help. I am sure we can understand this idea. I can't guarantee this but it may help. Also, if you have not had an upgrade in a long time you have a better chance. If worse comes to worst and I don't agree with this, but I am not your parent either talk to the customer retention department. Be fair and understanding.

I wish I had known that you wanted to know the policy just to badger it. I wouldn't have wasted my time explaining it. Next time you bring up a subject mantion that your being immature and wasting thier time. When I am in that meeting when I get the chance to decide the upgrade policy I will let them know what you think. Sorry, I don't believe that will happen anytime soon. Wireless carriers have thier cons and pros. It doesn't take much to see that. They all dish out the same stuff in a different way. Just hang out with your friends from cingular and you will be happier and I am sure I will. Thanks!
