You have to use the Opera mini program to access the web. You might have to put in the proxy settings, and use port 8080, if you are use the $4.99 or the $5.99 T-MobileWeb plan.

get on mobile web and in the go to or wherever you type desired webpages type

http://mini.opera.com/ »

from your phones web browser of course. and if it doesn't reconigze your phone type on the page just select to download the low memory version. now if that doesn't work it may be because your phone has to low of memory to support opera mini or you have to many pics and ringers taking up you memory space.

however you can try and trick opera into believing you have a different phone

it should of stored under you games and apps on you phone. and you can download the low memory version from the phone. it should give you 2 options: high memory or low memory. if it recignizes your phones it should of automatically downloaded the version needed. however, you will need they available space it says it needs on your phones memory space to save it to your phone.

its like browsing the web on a pc but in the palm of your hands on your phone. i'd contact opera to see if theirs any thing they can do to see if you don't need to get rid of any ringtones.

the only thing i can think of besides that is to see how much memory you phone has left and see how much the opera will take up. if the opera is larger and you want it get rid of some tones if not keep your tones.

i'm way better hands on but i've never owned that phone so its hard for me to give you supreme navigation on how to work it.

Thanks but I have already downloaded and installed mini. It installs in Games&Apps on my v600. The problem is that it won't connect--message says no network connection. I think it has to do with T-Mo settings but not sure. Any advice?

does you wap browser still work? if so i know with certain t-mobile phones opera does act a tad foul.

are you sure you have the right opera memory size? what i mean is high memory or low memory.

if you wap is workin its something wrong with the opera. you can contact them and they can help you fix it or try and re-download it and see if that helps.

thanks everyone for all your help! unfortunately.. im not very tech saavy.. time to take a class! what exactly is proxy settings or port 8080?? call me crazy just not THAT much into computer/cell phone technology..
i am a wannabe. 😢
also someone said it might not work due to the fact i have the new 5.99 tmobile web ftr not the older ftr. They claim it might be due to software restrictions with the new ftr.. if that is the case.. well.. im SOL.. anyone got any more suggestions??
