To all the people who decided to buy their T-Mobile phones from Walmart this Christmas, TAKE ALL YOUR PROBLEMS WITH YOUR PHONE OR PLAN BACK TO WALMART!!!! I have customers that come in to my store make me go through the whole presentation explaining everything, only to say thanks, I'm just going to check out Walmart's prices first. Then that same person will come back to my store with questions like "can you show me how to setup my voicemail" or "can you enter in this list of phones numbers to my phonebook because I don't know how". Authorized dealers do not get paid to deal with your stupidity. If you bought your phone from me, I would have shown you how to use everything because that's my job. I want a satisfied customer. Walmart doesn't ...

That also applies for people who go to Wal-mart for Cingular & Sprint/Nextel service. I have found when it comes to price, Wal-mart tends to be higher than some corporate & authorized agents that just sell cellphones. The Wal-mart stores in my area (NW Indiana, which would be my local Schererville, Hobart, & Hammond stores) don't deal with rebates. So without the rebates, the cost tends to be higher overall than those who go through corporate or authorized agents that sell the phones only, who give a rebate form to fill out.

I agree to a point. However, if I was the consumer and the price was cheaper at Wal-mart, you could bet your ass that I would buy at Wal-mart. That $20 or $30 I would be saving would be an incentive to buy there.
But I would be smart enough not to bother *you*, I would call customer service. I mean, that's what they're there for.

If you were to go to the Wal-mart stores in my area, they are not cheaper on new phones, except for those getting new service, which then they sell it at a loss. But for upgrades, the phones for all carriers (T-Mobile, Cingular, & Sprint/Nextel in my area stores) are typically higher than at other authorized agents & corporate stores because they don't offer rebate forms on their phones that they sell. Some authorized agents are reputable, but it's best to deal with a corporate store, if at all possible, because they can tell you about the phones & especially the network better. At least where I live, I don't trust any authorzed agent, regardless of carrier. All they care about is getting a quick sale, but once you have a problem, they d...

I'm with you on that one!! About time someone put this out there and I hope that there are consumers on here reading this! My TMobile store is more that happy to price match any other TMobile retailer in our area, even Walmart!! The people that work in the electronics department at Walmart are not as trained as the rest of us are. We specialize in cellular phones, not DVDs and CDs and TVs and cameras. We are going to give you the best cellular advice possible! We secret shop the Walmart people periodically to see what the know and I was told recently by a Walmart associate that TMobile uses Sprint towers! HA HA HA!! Get your facts straight before you sell our product!
