Retentions?
Out of contract almost a year now.
What could I expect in the way of special offers by talking with retentions? I'm willing to re-contract for another 1 or 2 years.
What I'd like is to get a new EDGE capable phone like the V330 for less than $100.00
Using a great V620 OEM phone now, but not EDGE capable.
Or would I be better served just cancelling my service and re-contracting with a new phone number (no big deal for me).
Alternatively, anyone here have a used V330 for sale cheap?
Cheers!
Don in Chicagoland
Don't expect the data price to be the same if you want to use EDGE data.
I did look at the my tmo upgrade page. A v330 or 360 would be $125-165 with a 2 year contract.
I may just look to sell my V620 and buy a used V330.
To answer your questions, you're going to be able to get your best deal through retaining your current service. Especially on the V330, because we replaced it recently so the one's we have are getting major deals cut on them.
Did you purchase your phone at a Corporate Store or throuhg a dealer/internet? If you bought it at a store, go back to that store (And if your rep still works there, the same rep) and explain what you're looking for. They'll probably cut you a good deal on the v330. If it was my store, I'd say 50-100 bucks seems like about right.
If you bought through the net or and indirect dealer, call up customer care. They can ship you a phone, and will probably also cut you an awesome deal on it.
Hope This he...

My last upgrade was 2 years ago when I was first one of contract on a Nokia phone that I bought through customer care. No upgrades or special deals since then. I've been out of contract 2 years in December.
I bought my OEM V620 privately, but now with Edge available in Chicagoland, want to move to an Edge phone. The other idea I had was to request a deal from customer care on the SE GC89 data card (less than the $199 price on the website for new data accounts) for my laptop and add a separate data plan account. I would then drop the $19.99 internet add-on from my original plan, and also drop our hotspots month to month account (50% off thru work). This is assuming that t...
