"Ricke said then that Deutsche Telekom would decide by the end of 2005 how it will proceed with costly investments in a 3G network, either bidding alone or gathering partners for a joint bid to operate one."

""On the contrary, we are now in the process of preparing for the next step. That includes taking part in the tender for new (wireless) spectrum," he said in remarks posted on the paper's Web site ahead of publication on Saturday.
"

"The speculation focused on the U.S. subsidiary's lack of a 3G network and entrenched competition from bigger rivals like Sprint Corp. and Verizon Communications Inc.

When he asks for opinions, and you state your opinions and back them up with sound facts, he starts flame wars (supposedly stating facts, but they are always twisted in the way he wants them to be) about how his precious sprextel is so much better than what you are stating. Anytime he asks for opinions he is just looking to start a war.

I see that you only registered for this site on 9/15/05. Once you are here for a while, and you visit other forums, you will see exactly what I am talking about.

Unfortunately many people on this board have yet to learn one of the cardinal rules of message boards--DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS. It just encourages them and does no good at all for anyone else. In order to change a mind it is necessary that there actually BE a mind to change in the first place... 🙄

Aleq, that is a wonder philosophy on the surface....but when someone is so blatantly wrong, it is VERY hard to let it go ALL the time. 😈

Eh, cultivate Zen, grasshopper... Patience is a virtue--after all, Buddhists say that if you sit patiently by the side of the river long enough you will see the bodies of all your enemies float by you... 😉

Good article, thank you for presenting it! T-Mobile USA has always had aspirations of moving to 3G and I personally thought that it wasn't going to be a good move to sell it off, I mean, this business is fast paced and they are keeping up, they aren't leading the pack by any means. It's not like they aren't making money either 😉 I think that it will be interesting to see what happens
