i am with t-mobile.

i know i can only get EDGE speed but that is okay.

i keep hearing the iphone sucks on at&t due to network issues.

Thats does sound like a nice idead if T-mobile carries the Iphone. But im having a problem with is T-mobiles customer service. If you dial 611 or the 1800- number they keep you hold for the longest. Im suprised more people havent talked about this problem.

that problem is customers not knowing how to help themselves with simple things, address changes, reading the bill, subscribing to services and complaining when charged, calling 411 and swearing they never do. Over and over and over, I'm like 90% sure at&t has smarter customers, (I'm one of them).

If youre so smart, why dont you know that T-mobile is rated the #1 GSM carrier in the US? & they are rated the best for customer support for all wireless carriers.

I dont know why you think the old Cingular network was better than the old AT&T wireless network. (T-mobile bought the old AT&T wireless network) We all know that the old AT&T Wireless network was way better that Cingulars!

Kick rocks AT&T fan boy!

Actually Cingular bought the old AT&T Wireless network. Then AT&T bought Cingular.

That is true, but Cingular/AT&T sold the old AT&T Wireless network to T-Mobile.

They may have had to divest some markets. As most carriers do when they buy out another carrier with a major coverage overlap.

That is true! However; I would have kept the better network. Like in SF & NY. I beleive AT&T missed the target, & shot their own foot with that move. It will be really cool once T-Mo gets the I-phone, & shows AT&T how a real GSM company does it!

Well the Nexus one is a good I-Phone competitor. T-mobile has a ways to go before they can really compete with AT&T size wise but I see them gaining good ground with coverage both 3G and voice. They still deploy old technology in new coverage areas like GPRS instead of EDGE. I personally wish they would deploy 3G over their entire network with HSPA+ then they would really turn up the heat on their larger rivals. But I'm sure that would cost more then they feel is particle to put down. Either way you slice it T-mobile is going to prettier image for them selves over the next few years with DT dumping a lot of money and expertise.

I just switched to T-Mobile from AT&T and I see a huge difference in call quality and coverage. Thanks, T-Mobile!

We were talking about long hold time for t-mobile, not their network.
I am T-mobile btw, one of the most highly regarded service reps 🙄

I've seen a couple threads mention this, and I'm not sure what the issue is. I've had to call Customer Service twice in the last 2 weeks. Both times via 611 off the mobile, and both times I was talking to a rep within 5 minutes.. Do call volumes vary by time of month or something?
