Tmobile's USB Stick internet plan is great! If you are a millionaire

$59.99 a month for 5GB, whatever 5GB means (nobody knows how many websites you can click on without going over the 5GB), plus the $50 you pay for the stick itself.

You wouldn't be able to keep track of the GB, (or MB) incurred at any given point unless you call customer service.

Again, a great bargain, if you are Bill Gates.

seriously
Clear Wimax is way better, for $10 less, and it's unlimited
T-Mobile Webconnect is trash, compared with other 3, no exception

T-Mobile's footprint can't sniff the other 3, but in performance it is wiping the floor with AT&T. So it really depends upon where you use it. I wouldn't touch Sprint even if they were paying me to use their service. Can't say anything about Verizon really. Much bigger footprint, real-time speeds about the same, same price... and 5GB is a lot for mobile internet. That's a ton of web pages, millions of emails...

.....if you strip TONS of pics/flash/java when browsing
face it
loading BGR needs 2MB, no joke, same as other blogs
even I do pretty minimal streaming, I still use 100-150MB daily, just going to and fro several sites, emails, and some streaming radios (20-64kbps)
5GB is way too stingy, and completely unfair for laptop use
10GB is more reasonable right now
nobody is abusing data

150mb a day * 30 days

4500MB

Which is less than the cap. and that is if you surf every day, streaming every day.

It's not supposed to be your only internet if you use the internet a lot. 5gb is more than enough for people who want to keep up to date with the world around them but don't have the availability for DSL, and cable in a lot of areas will work out to be almost 100 a month when you consider the TV package you need to get it.

IMO It's a good device for an average user. I don't think it's ment for serious internet killers.

I have internet connection at home
I only use netbook to access internet at work, never use work computer for security reason
I also have 3G router, that I can monitor the activity
even browsing alone, it used me 100MB a day
under some occasion, mobile internet is my only choice during duty (no DSL, no cable, no wifi, no nothing), and I can use up 300-500MB in a single day pretty easily, (streaming radios, massive emails, radio program download, massive browsing)
5GB is too stingy, 10GB gives more room for something may happen (out to duty, DSL is down), bulk rate overage ($2/GB after limit) is also a reasonable solution for really serious internet users
try to run internet every single day where you don't have other connection availab...

I do use the internet every day. That's why I have cable.

For a lot of customers with no other options, an Aircard is their first step up from dialup. They don't stream tons of content. They just want something that will allow them to download those pictures from their family, or watch a youtube video or two that their kids posted online. It is not intended to be a primary internet for people who use active content online daily.

And you could do 1.7 MILLION emails with 5gb. So your "Massive emails" (unless you are sending spam) won't get you close to the cap. It is your streaming radio, streaming online content, and your browsing (if they are content intensive pages) that is using up your data.

The aircard (for you) is for mobi...

1.7 million emails.....
if the body limits to fewer than 50 characters, plain text format, WITH NO ATTACHMENT AT ALL
T-Mobile, never justify your excuse
there's ABSOLUTELY NO REASON TO CHOOSE T-MOBILE as aircard provider as the price and limit are same as other 3
ATT and VZW have better reception
Sprint has better data infrastructure, and Wimax (clear.com) is truly unlimited for $50
even fanboys/fangirls won't choose T-Mobile as aircard provider, period

you know that?
it appears ISPs and data carriers are taking users' freedom away
only a few are using excessive volume, and I think 99% users use no more than 15GB of data
I even wait most of downloads to be done at home (and use landline internet)
I need tethering for my PDA/netbook, and I usually use a few GBs, but under rare occasion, I go over 5
and users must be aware of cap
it's 5GB today, and it may go down to 2GB next year, and further down to 500MB a few years later, with a few bucks per bytes

I really don't understand why you are complaining like a little girl. If you don't like it don't buy it. It's not hard to grasp the idea that this product may not work for you. Products aren't designed for EVERY user. So you may need to go else where for a product that works for you and your usage. How hard is that to understand? The Gig cap works just fine. Since release I have yet to run into a single customer that has even came close to half of their cap.

Before you open your mouth, do some research. The WebConnect software has a usage meter built in so you can keep track of your usage in real time. You don't need to call customer service.
