TMOBILE AND NEW PHONES
👿 What is the deal? We have sat back and waited. For what? I am so close to leaving Tmobile after 6 years of service because lack of products. Why are they waiting so long to release any new phones? Verizon, Cingular, and Sprint have all release at least 5 phones since Tmobile released its last one. That's pathetic. I have a samsung e715 right now and would like to upgrade but their isn't much of a choice. I dont want to waste my upgrade now and then have new phones come out. I have sent in the e715 at least 5 times due to poor screen quality on the phone and several other bugs. I have had this phone since it came out last year and am desperatly waiting for something new. Any help here? Give me some rumors. Make me feel warm inside.

I absolutely agree with you. I'be been a loyal T-Mobile customer for ten years and the official silence on any new phones is deafening. At least put out some official information so that we know where the company is going in the US. My contract is up and also I could upgrade.....why waste it on what they have at the moments.

yeah i agree with what you said. They are losing ground and are going to have a tough time claiming it back. I think TMobile is by far the best carrier out there. They have taken care of me sooooooo much. I cant complain that they havent treated me well. Better than Sprint and Verizon. Those 2 companys are NeoCon infested. I live in Kansas City where Sprints World HQ is and believe me its NeoCon Valley around here. I hear Verizon and Sprint are going to start asking for DNA samples from all there customers.

You know what's really sad? I'm picturing 2 things....you know that commercial for JC penny a little while back (at least I think it was JC Pennys) where there was some big sale and the women all got there early to be ahead of the line, and were pressed up against the window going "open, open, open"= new T-Mobile phones on the shelf lol

Though we can say nothing officially, as the only official device being launched next month is the BB 7290, I will say there are several phones floating around the call center right now given to TA's and supervisors to use/demo/test out, etc...Before I say this, again, there is no guarantee, no official word, only some preliminary ideas and considerations...but perhaps enough to give some of you anxious people a warm and fuzzy. We are definately planning on getting really aggressive with our handset selection soon, and the rumor is you'll start seeing some big changes late spring/early summer.
Of the phones being demo'd right now, here's what I've seen and confirmed the model numbers of:

I agree, T-mobile has the worst selection of cellular phones. The most ****iest phones ever. They come out with new phones that have been on the market for over a year. For all of you people that want new phones, I suggest you buy anyphone you like from cingular or whomever and just unlock it. Thats what I do. So far im using a Nokia 7610 and waiting for the Nokia 3230.

i disagree, cingular does not have the e715 which is one of the nicer samsungs on the market NOR do they have the TM150

T-Mobile doesn't have a sh*tty selection of phones, Verizon does. And the only phone that T-Mobile got way after it was put on the market was the Nokia 6800! 🙄

yeah find me a verizon phone w/ good battery life, my friend has Vz w/ comp plan under his fathers comp, (so he doesnt pay for serv) and he just wants new phone w. very basic features, flip speaker phone, good battery life and reception, does not want camera or other goodies that would drive up the price, but just going off of those i couldnt recamend much

How about the P735, I just got that about a month ago and I haven't had one problem with it, I would say that the battery life needs to be a little better but all in all it is a nice phone. mp3, mp camera, swivel head design is pretty cool. I like it a lot more than the TM150, i had that for about 3 weeks and sold it (size) but I would agree with most everyone here, T-Mo needs to be a little more aggressive with their handsets 😉

i love samsungs, i would get the p735 but i am either waiting for the E865 OR i am just going to get a 3g/GSM dual band phone, most likely i will just do that, granted i am going to be spending $800-1000 on a phone BUT at least it will be new, badass ...

dead serious, the thing is i am going into the air force soon and i know i will be stationed in either japan or europe, i want a phone that supports both GSM and UMTS (for japan and europe 😁) and there are only a select few phones that support that the have the features i want, and being that the fact is you need to buy them with no agreement and unlocked it costs a grip of cash, the phones i am looking at are the Z800i (Sony Ericsson) and the Z500 by samsung, both are not released, the V800 by Sony ericsson is released and i could get an unlocked one for $800 but its got vodaphone markings on it (YUCK!) so i can wait for the Z800...

If you are going into the Air Force soon, just wait till you get to the assignment. The Base Exchanges will have a good selection at a good cost and no tax. I served 13 years in the AF, that's what I would do.
