G1

I understand that as of right now, the G1 won't have Microsoft Active Sync, so having work email set up on the phone will not be possible. Has anyone heard of how long it will be before this situation is rectified? Seems shortsighted to me to limit the usage of the phone to non-work users. I'm excited about getting the phone, but totally bummed i can only use for personal and not work too.

I don't think they were really aiming the device to the business consumer. Considering the platform is open source, I would think that someone would develop a fix to this within a week of the phone being released.

I don't know if you can do this or not.... depends on your work.

Creat a gmail account.

Forward your work email to myaccount@gmail.com

You can set up your Gmail to "send email as" you@yourbiz.com

This why you get all your emails pushed to your device, and they look like the are coming from your biz email.
