we are actually in between 2 markets that have 3g or will by mid October, we are in one of the markets, but since the 3g footprint doesnt cover us, we arent going to be getting the G1, we are going to be less than 10-15 miles in either direction from 3g. think we are going to be creamed by people wanting it? u bet! we are a bedroom community, most of the people that live here work in the other 2 markets, but we cant sell them the phone they want. 👿

Is Tmo actually marketing the G1? I thought only us Geeks who come to websites such as PS and BGR would know about the G1 and it's features.

You might get the G1 because some bored stores will be getting the phone because their customers live/work in a 3G market. Check on tmobile news they have a list of stores which are getting the phone.

yea, i checked that, we're not on the list. their idea of live/work is 5 mile radius. 4 o the people work in this location until recently lived in one 3g market or the other, think that would prove something about distance, but no.
