i'm thinking about getting an unlocked MOTOROKR Z6, but i was reading that there may be some difficulties with texting and data services. what exactly will happen with those services?
i wanted this phone beacuse i like the slider style phone, plus it is a music phone (and i would be using the music feature alot). is it worth my time and mmoney to pick up this device?

It should work on TMO netowrk. Howeveryou probably will need to check with TMO or Moto for a firmware update to use all of TMOS features.

Many people bring unlocked phones to GSM carriers with few issues.

you can get them from t-mobile...i think you can get them off our web site but if not call customercare and ask for the DOTAC settings. they are settings that congfigure the phone to our network so you can use pic messages and you can use tzones wap web browser. everything else should work fine with out any settings

i tried to call care, but i'm on hold for 8-10 min before they answer... anywho... i tried to ask somebody named chuck if i could do that and he literally told me my phone would explode.
so all i would have to do is ask for the DOTAC info sent to my device and i could run it like a browser update?

Use the link above to bypass customer care and configure your phone for T-Mo services.

LOL

The link you were given should work. If not call TMO back and ask for unsupported handsets dept. They will help you.. and I promise your phone won't explode.

you can try its not guaranteed service but we try to flash your phone and modify it to our network.

ive had cust call with paml centro and iphone and they usually have no prob just once in a blue moon you'll lose data (we'll informed that service was not guaranteed 🙂 ) but we help you out as best we can..

just don't forget if something really bad happens no warranty exchange or insurance claims.

😁 but you should be ok

it would run just about the same. but its not a guarantee that it would work to its full potential. i usually get calls that their web stopped working out of no where but tech try to help them out. it doesnt happen all the time. some people never have a problem with. but if you drop it in water or have program problems they just direct you to apple or to buy a new one.
