Text message increase

OK, I would like to know if anyone in here has tried to cancel your contract with TMO because of their price increase with text messages? I have heard that since they broke a contractual agreement with the consumer the consumer can by all rights cancel service without a ETF. Is this true and has anyone tried it? I just signed a contract about 1-1/2 months ago and already a price increase? That is total BS.

That would be a super idea... if the cost of a text messaging was a term of your contract. You obviously did not read your contract, if you had it would have told you that they can change the price. Nice try. 🙄

Right on,that is what they will tell you. It is non-contractual. You may cancel with an ETF.

I know I don't get it. If you send 1 or two messaged you have to pay an extra 10 cents. If you send more then that you are stupid that you don't' have a text message plan. And you like wasting money. So why are you worried about it going up 5 cents.

Because people like this are too worried about buying an extra .000000001 gallons worth of gas. 🙄

it raised because you have the option to BLOCK text now. so if you don't want to pay for it then BLOCK it.

also YES you can cancel the without and ETF when the actual cost goes up. t-mobile can change the prices all they want like to contract says, but because of how nice they are the will let you cancel!

when we changed from 10 cents a text and 25 cents for pic texts to everything being 15 cents, people had the option to cancel at that time too! our store still has some of the paperwork guidelines for that.

Well as an update, I did end up canceling my service with T-Mobile reluctantly. They were great in that they let me out of my contract without an ETF plus I got to keep my phone. The main reason I did it was that my wife was unhappy because she got no signal at work and that was not acceptable in case of emergency with kids. Weird thing is that outside her building she got almost full bars, once inside very little to none. Personally I loved T-Mobile but you know the old saying, "A happy wife is a happy life" 😁 If T-Mobile increases their coverage I will be back.

T-mo has the best customer service and the cheapest prices, but will always be last in coverage and technology in the states. That is the business model for them here. Not good or bad just their stratagey in the US.

incrediably wrong. two of T-Mobile's main goals this year is to drastically increase coverage and unlease talked about retail, which includes bringing in new technologies (hotspots, @home, 3g, android)
