I live in NC and am looking forward to T-Mobile taking over the SunCom network here and finally being available. Does anyone have a general idea when (not only when the deal will be final on paper) but when we can start having T-mobile service and phones in nc and when suncom stores will be tranformed into T-mobile stores. Thanks for the info. Im ready for something diff (currently with at&t). Thanks

This Acquisition still has to go through goverment and regulatory processes so it could take some time due to that.

don't ever expect much this time
even after the renaming, the reception won't be changed overnight

T Mobile will use the same towers Suncom uses so how could T Mobile be better in that regard?
If Suncom is not good neither would T Mobile be unless they have a deal with ATT and use their towers as well.

I posed a question why should those of us who have ATT switch? I am not familiar with T Mobile. I do ATT has an 850 band and Roll Over.

Is T mobile less expensive? I pay $15.00 for unlimited Data. No texting or Media. However that would cost another $5.00 for 200 messages. I would have to send 30 text and /or MM messages to equate to $5.00 a month and don't send even 5 per month.

I am not sure T Mobile can offer more than ATT.
We have 3G here but my phone(Nokia N82) can not receive it. Edge is fast enough and WiFi is what I use most of the time anyway. The internal GPS does not use the network at all.
