Reasons for T-Mobile over at&t

mqmorasch

the reason I went to T-Mobile, awesome customer service and same coverage and price friendly. That is what happens when a european company comes to the US, forward thinking and pricing.
AT&T Customer care closes @ 9pm and closed on Sunday, very inconvenient and treat you like a thief(and I was an employee)...T-Mobile is 24/7 and a pleasure to deal with.

you're not to bright. look at t-mobile prices in europe. they are more expensive than at&t is here. they are priced that way here because they fit the niche.

That is a stupid comparison you just made. Why would you compare AT&T prices in the states to T-Mobile European prices? The real comparison is T-Mobile USA and AT&T. And then on top of your stupid comparison you stated the previous poster was not too bright, notice how i corrected your grammatical error. You are a MOE RON, goodbye.

it's not a stupid comparison. the original poster compared at&t to a european company. i was showing that other than t-mobile usa, t-mobile is more expensive than at&t... and i didn't know we were getting graded on grammer. sorry mrs. spidermon.

Again, you're the one who missed the point in that first post...the poster simply stated that tmobile, a european owned company, has better pricing than AT&T...the owner of TMOBILE being Deutche Telecom.

Ok. I see that you think i missed the point but i didn't...

The poster said a european company had forward thinking and pricing... I pointed out that a european company does not mean it is cheaper, just that t-mobile is priced the way it is here (in the US) to fit a niche (meaning being the smallest national carrier with the least expensive prices.)

at least you are educated enought to understand the point I was making. The same things have been said when/if docomo comes to the US, or even Vodafone. Pricing wars will ensue, which is good for us as consumers.

yes it is good as a consumer but the cheapest european carrier is still more expensive than the most expensive american carrier verizon. wait, they are 45% owned by a european company... so where does that leave the original post?

Both are fine companys..

TMO is way cheaper...period.

Especially if you are a data user.

But...you must realize..TMO customers use the 850 band of ATT alot

Currently TMO is the only company trying to figure out ways to save the end user money.

Myfaves, Hotspot...etc. Phone pricing. (easy altell guys...and your 10 person calling circle)

If it works in your area...TMO is really nice.

However...ATT is fairly consistant in every aspect of there biz....whether good or bad qualities...the corporate machine churns out the same results....

Unless there is a merger...which seems to happen like...every other year with this company.

Also..your $70 a month is rather inconsiqential to ATT...so realize going in...that you ...

I went to tmobile cause:https://www.phonescoop.com/carriers/for um.php?fm=m&ff=5&fi=1475048#

1. Consumer Reports Rated them the second highest carrier in my area (highest nationwide)

2. They have the cheapest plans by far

3. The MDA was 200 with a 50 mail in rebate when i bought it.

4. They will insure my PDA

The Reasons I would get a ATT phone:

1. I phone (Call me lame but Tmobile doesn't have a singe phone that can touch the I phone)

2. Every other phone on ATT - has the most phones and the biggest variety of phones in comparision than any other company. Every other month they are out with another one.

3. 3g Now instead of soon

4. Rollover minutes

5. Nights and weekends starting at 7

The moral is simple. I l...

AT&T's 3G isn't everywhere they have AT&T service.... we just had 3G turned on here (Oklahoma City) this Monday.... I know there are other markets that still are waiting... I think in Coloroado and a few more.

I left AT&T because they had NO variety, and the couple of phones that were any good were WAY over priced.

Apparently you aren't too bright...You used "to" in the wrong context for 1, for 2 all of europe is set up different as far as pricing because none of the carriers get along for roaming agreements and the different country boundries. SO, keep apples to apples, the comment I made is based on their influence on our market and how it is priced.

again, sorry about the grammatical error. you stated that a european company has something to do with t-mobile pricing. it doesn't. voicestream started the get more pricing before t-mobile came along. i know they don't use 'get more' anymore but it wasn't started by t-mobile. they charge the way they do because that is their place in the american market p...

He wasn't comparing Europe's T-Mobile pricing, and US AT&T's. That's wouldn't even be fair.... He was saying a European company came here and offered a great product at a great price.... Once they roll out 3G, guess who I am switching to..... 😁

I would choose T-Mobile over AT&T due to it's customer service and it's cheap prices any day. BUT, T-Mobile severely lacks the coverage that AT&T has, especially here in Michigan. Now that AT&T just bought Dobson, AT&T covers basically the entire state of Michigan. Also, if you compare AT&T and T-Mobile's coverage, you will notice that AT&T's coverage will go out and beyond what T-Mobile's does here in Michigan. (They tend to stick to the highways.) Again, I'm only saying how it is here in Michigan, I can't voucher for how it is in other states. But if T-Mobile broadened their coverage, I would definitely look at going to them!

I agree. Here in NC we dont even have T-Mobile. But I know that T- Mobile brought SunCom and we have that here but its coverage sucks bad!!!!! I love T-Mobile plan prices 🙂 they are really good. But I think that if they would expand their coverage to what at&t is, then that would be great!!!!

The only reason t-mobiles pricing is that cheap is so they can get more customers. Originally when DT bought voicestream their coverage was absolutley horrible and they had to compete against that of at&t tdma and VZW cdma coverage which was far larger. So, t-mobile offered crazy minutes on plans and focused their coverage improvements largely in metro areas with higher pop density.

Their coverage still isn't as good nationwide as att or vzw so they still focus on the areas they can stand out in which are pricing and customer service. Eventually, the coverage can only get so perfect and you will see market demands bring pricing closer and closer together for all carriers.
