Would you care to elaborate on the transpiring T-Mobile situation in that market?
I'm curious about details...
...
I'm not from that market but I feel the need to comment on this. Pardon my french but what they are doing is the biggest crock of sh*t I've ever heard. Who in their right mind decided to convert T-Mobile corporate stores into indirect owned and run stores? This company is committing suicide at a rapid rate with all these new changes. It is no longer the "best place to work" as far as I'm concerned. I have lost all faith in T-Mobile with all the numerous poor business decision they are making. Its like they are trying to become the worst. What the heck is going on T-Mobile. We used to be the black sheep of the herd and doing so many cool and different things but now, its like everyday a ridiculous idea comes out that just puts us right back i...

I got an email about this today. I am very pro-T-Mobile, and I just couldn't believe what I was reading. Our regional director sent out the email and it just spoke in circles about the situation.
Why the need to put a "positive" spin on everything?
If someone hands me a turd with a bow on it, it's still a turd!
I also don't understand how this coincides with T-Mobile's pledge to open all of these new stores.
BTW, what other decisions have been upsetting to you? I have only been with T-Mobile corporate since January.

Ive been absolutely disgusted with what Ive seen from Corporate the last few months. Its almost seems like they WANT everyone to quit. The problem is they hired alot of upper management coming from clothing stores(GAP, ect..). So they are going to part time, fresh out of high school reps. Im sorry but does a GAP employee help you pick out your pants, then show exactly you how to put them on, demonstrate how exactly to wash the jeans, and also patch up the damage from it over time??
Im giving T-Mobile until the end of the holiday season to get their heads out of their asses, or Im jumping ship like quite a few reps have already. They were a very good company, truely the best place to work, and I hope they will see the errors of their way.

That's what I'm unclear on...
They didn't really fire the reps, did they? They just basically came in and said that the reps work for another company but still sell T-Mobile. That isn't good either, but they all still have jobs.
What bothers me, is that I really think that the benefits T-Mobile offers are very good. I would be absolutely livid if I were told that I worked for an indirect that would, by default, offer far less from a benefits standpoint.
I REALLY wish someone who works in Columbus would respond to this thread. I would like to hear their side of things. For all I know, a really bad market manager drove things into the ground and this was one of the only things T-Mobile could do...
Who knows...
...
It is not as bad as you are making it out to be. Trust me.
...
I hope not.
I don't like jumping to conclusions, but I also think that putting nothing but positive spin on things leaves too much room for interpretation.
I am a really positive person, but I am also a realist. I just never like it when corporations don't trust their employees enough to give details.
Do you work for T-Mobile or Vision Wireless?
...
Ya until is happens to you. 🙄
...
Maybe it has already 🙂
...
Well then, my mistake. 😉
Please enlighten us as to how things are going for you and the Columbus Team.
I'm sure there are many of us interested to know the details.
...
Please share then...
My main concerns were whether benefits would stay the same and whether there was a dramatic pay decrease...
...
i work for an indirect in the columbus market, but i havent heard anything about this, anyone care to fill me in?
...
Wireless Vision is going to be taking over the corporate T-Mobile stores in Columbus. All the employees have been retained. Other than that, I don't know much else...
