I DON'T BELIEVE PAGECOMM, WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? SCAM??

I walked into a local pagecomm recently just to look and see what new phones sprint and t-mobile had. The guy asked me to sign up with sprint. Already having them, and terminating my contract on bad terms (Refusal To Pay).... And T-mobile too (Same thing, couldn't pay...) He told me he could get me t-mobile back with no deposit.

Im not believing him. My guess is that either A. He WONT use my social security number, or B. He will forge something else...

Is this a good idea to go back? Im guessing No....

Thanks!

in the first place, NEVER go to an indepentant dealer if you have a corporate store in a half days drive.

there is actually something new from t-mobile called flexpay, and if you still have your t-mobile phone, you can get new service on a monthly plan with no annual contract. (you can do this if you dont have a phone, but you have to pay full price for a phone, no special deals.) it will allow you to have pretty much any plan you want, and add most features you want, you just have to pay your monthly fees in advance. no activation fees, no deposits, nothing. there is more info about this here, it is a legit option now.

I think you are one of a very small percentage of indirect dealers. Thank you (personally and professionally) for doing the right thing and making sure that that the customer comes first! Unfortuniatlly, 90% of the indirect dealers out there give you the bad rep..

I gotta say I agree with him too. I've worked for an indirect dealer for the past two years and hae busted my butt trying to bash the stereotype that indirects are crap. I understand that there are some scumbags out there, but thats why we help get the other indirect in our mall shut down. He was screwing over customers, stealing phones etc, and we had enough complaints from customers coming to us that we had T-Mo shut them down.

Just because they don't report to the credit bureaus doesn't mean you didn't owe it! Not every company will report you. If they don't and you owe them then you should thank them as a collection account will kill your credit score!

Find a T-Mobile Retail Store.
Use T-Mobile.com's store locator to find a T-Mobile location that's convenient for you. Or call T-Mobile at 1-800-T-MOBILE.

Don't ever go to pagecomm. My verizon contract ended so I wanted to try out sprint. He was like yeah, no problem, if you don't like it, you can return it. I returned it 2 days later and I lost $50 on a restocking fee on the phone. And they "mail" a check that I still have not receieved.

That said, I had sprint about 4 years ago, never paid the bill, ended up getting cut off. Got approved with no deposit.

My friend ended up sending a text message from a strange number that went like this.

"Thank you for returning to sprint, but we did not forget about the unpaid bills from years ago. At 27% APR, you owe us $1,529.59 by the 15th of AUG."

He later told me, but I still returned it because I thought they might let the 30 day trial e...

I can not believe all the damn people that expect a old bill to disappear. You did it you didn't pay so it is all your fault. I think its awesome they do that to people! Give them a line and then tact on the new bill. You know why because bills only have a 7 year limit. Now you just renewed that bill lol!!

Well it is fraud. But I guess since she always pays her bills...its not as big of a deal..but still, what if you decide that you just dont want to pay? That screws somones credit, and you could go to jail for credit fraud. Fun!

if she pays her bills then why does she need to use someone else's SSN. She should be able to get service. I mean how hard is it to get a score of 600 which is what most require!

If you've never had it below 600, I guess you would never know how hard it is to get it above 600.

If you pay your bills on time it will never ever get below 600. That is like really low! Even people with no credit is above that. My brother is 19 had one credit card since he was 18 and charged 30 to 40 a month paid it off every month for a year his score is little under 700.
