Was wondering, would like some feedback on the general signing up/charges, how its working so far. I'm probably going to sign up for it (am tmo2go , at the moment) but would like to hear from ppl who've experienced it so far.
TIA

Just so you know, you'll be able to sign up for FlexPay, but right they are not allowing anyone to migrate existing T-Mobile numbers to the FlexPay system, so you'll have to get a new phone number.

Yep I knew that , that's not a biggie. I was just wondering about activation itself and the initial cost of signing up. (taxes, fees, activation costs, how much add ons are stuff like that).
Thanks

The initial cost to sign up is the first month's bill payment + price of the phone you want. The price of the phone depends on whether you are approved to sign a contract or not. If not you pay full invoice price for the phone.

The price of the add-ons depends on the add-on. Unlike Smartaccess and TakeControl you can have any add-on you want.

Tell me what you want and I'll give you an estimate about how much it will cost you.

I'm thinking about the lowest family plan (700 min i think) with 3 lines , month to month, and I don't need phones, but will I need new sims? I heard there is a limit to how many lines you can add, is that true? I don't think I'll get the messageing or data, I'll use my flexaccount for that. That way I can keep the teenagers under control.

FlexPay Month 2 Month is only allowed to have 3 lines and contracted is only allowed to have 2. If you are going to activate more than one line you have to do them all at the same time. The system is not letting us go back and add lines later and have them activate on the same day, it's making the new lines wait until the beginning of the next month's billing cycle before it will take effect. This is something they're trying to fix, but I haven't heard anything yet.

Ok, onto the price. You'll be looking at $69.99 for the plan (700 MyFaves w/ free Nts&Wkds), $20/ea for the SIMS, and the $4.99 control charge (which is waived if you sign up for EasyPay). So that's $129.99 + tax. I think there's only tax on the SIM cards, but I'm not sure sin...

They are all Tmobile phones and sims.
Ok as far as messaging bundles go, do I have a choice or do I need that 19.99 one for Family plans?

Your choice is pretty much to add it or not, and have the msgs come out of the Flexaccount at .15/ea in & out. As long as the kids don't message alot you don't really need it.

The only thing you'll need is the MyFaves to help with the minute sharing. Basically if you get a non-Myfaves family plan you're limited to calling only other T-Mobile customers for free. If you get the MyFaves you each get 5 spots to put numbers in, so that's 15 numbers from any cell carrier and land-lines you guys can call for free all the time.

There is a catch however, as long as you got the phones within the last 6 months then they will have the MyFaves software on them and you're all set. If they're older than that you'll have to check with the store to s...

Well I'm thinking, the Regular Basic Family Plan with 3 lines, has Mobile to Mobile, basicly the ppl we call the most is each other so that covers that. Add the messaging bundle for 20 and that brings me to approx 89/month , am I right? I just wish there was a way I could add 1 more line, but if I can't I cant. Hubby and I will have to share a phone.

Unforunately you'd have to sign a contract and not have FlexPay for that. I had a customer do this today though: she and her hubby were tired of paying huge phones bills at Sprint because their kids kept using up all the mins. So they each signed up separately and now the kids have their own mins and their own bill that they have to pay otherwise it automatically gets shut off at the beginning of the month. Not sure if your kids are old enough for that yet, hers were 13 and 16, but it's a thought.

The non-MyFaves plan is only $59.99 so you'd only be paying $79.99 + the $4.99 control charge = $84.98 + tax.

Nah, not into contracts, and Hubby didn't want a phone till now, heck I still have to tell him how to use the darn thing. But I have to say 85.00 is less than I thought I would be paying. I was almost thinking of kidConnect, but thats another 20 a pop and probably not allowable either. My boys are 14 and 16, but are pretty good, they haven't killed me yet on regular prepaid cuz I told them when the mins are gone you're done till I decide to refill them hehe! I also have already told them there are terms and conditions of my own to getting this plan that they will have to follow or dad will get a free phone or two lol.
You have been a tremendous help, thank you so much for your time, I know you guys have been terribly busy, and just know t...

Prime customers can get as many lines as they are approved for and can get flex pay. So if you qualify for more than 3 lines with prime credit you can opt to sign up for flexpay.

if you want more than 3, you can do so but a an extra cost. set up 3 on the month to month for one acct and set his up on a single plan month to month. there is a 29.99 plan and if he uses it very little , mainly for calling your family on their tmo, kid connect would work at 19.99. an extra 10 or 20 per month will get your needs taken care of.

this is directly out of tmobile flex pay book
Fleypay credit class A,B(prime cust) 5 lines on contract 3 lines month to month
Fleypay credit class M 2 lines on contract 3 lines m2m
Flexpay credit class N no contract available and 3 lines m2m
Flexpay credit class U (no credit check) no contract available and 3 lines month to month
So prime customers can have up to 5 lines based on credit for flexpay.

So have someone from tmob run ur info and find out where u stand.
