quoted from howard forums:

"So, through the grapevine I have heard that T-Mob will be starting a campaign during nov. where customers are given the choice to say with t-mob or leave with no etf.

I kow this sounds like BS but my source is someone who is pretty high up in the company. District something or other, im not sure of the title (like i would post it)

This program is supposed to coincide with the cingular/att buyout"

Wow.

That's kinda cool. Imagine, a good wireless company that you can have with no commitment.

Main downfall that I could see is that someone could rack up huge charges then just walk away. Then again... they could do that now and be liable for the charge plus etf. Hm, I dunno. Sounds like a good plan from a consumer standpoint...

Actually, it's just like the current customers contract. The only thing that will be waived is the ETF. Customers are fully responsible for all charges incurred prior to the cancellation. They also only have 120 days to decide and only for a 1 certain reason which I am not going to disclose.

Oh, right right right. I understand customer is responsible for charges. I guess I'm sayin' that some customers who don't really care would be "irresponsible" and not pay whatever charges they are supposed to.

120 days, eh? Hm. Interesting.

Never. You ever heard of the Hawaii Guarantee? This particular program never went nationwide. Neither will this one.

It isn't 120 days--You are required to return your handset if you are within 120 days. You may cancel at any time if you are dissatisfied with the coverage.

I'm not saying anything of the sort. The only thing I said was that it sounds like an interesting plan.
