Ok so here is my predicament. I ported out of T- Mobile about a week ago. Went to Sprint - what a mistake that was. Currently trying Verizon and am on a 30 day Free Trial. I lost a lot of mins went from 1500 mins to 900 mins. paying about the same in monthly. Coverage of course is better. Customer Service is NOT 24 hours like T-Mobile. Most of the people I talk to are on T-Mobile. Phones are not as good wiht T-Mobile as a pose to Verizon (some opinion there and some fact). If I come back I might get the 6.99 unlimited mob to mob because Verizon nd Sprint had it included in there plan. T-Mobile does not. ITs weird, it just doesnt seem right. I thought I would love Verizon and so far no. Here isa nother predicament. I can get corp discount pri...

That's the problem with cancelling or changing grandfathered plans/features. It is EXTREMELY difficult to get them back. You'd have to talk a supervisor into giving it back to you, b/c reg reps don't have access to grandfathered plans usually. (There are a few slips/glitches that allow reps give customers grandfathered items if they know the right code, but it's nothing you can count on.) Sometimes, though, even the supervisors have problems adding grandfathered plans/features. I wish I had better news for you. ☚ī¸

Why I tried to warn you about before you ported to them at least you found out in time. And I do work for verizon now and the number is 800-922-0204 just hit zero when the IVR starts talking and put in your number. That will get you to customer service should be 24 hours a day unless somthing has changed.

thanks - Verizon is NOT 24 hours a day. They are open till 12 midnight on the East Coast only. That is the one thing that upsets me with Verizon still. Otherwise its good.

Islander37, all I have to say is pick with what works for YOU. Ask yourself, who do most of your mobile to mobile minutes go to, who has a better company discount with your employer, who offers more, better plans, and last but not least, is coverage. Will your phone work where you go. The average Joe doesn't know and probably wouldn't care about the differences of GSM and CDMA. If you're in this forum asking, you're bound to get biased answers from T-Mo fanboys/girls and employees. No disrespect T-Mo fannies, peace. Everyone has their favorites and their different stories. 😉

Ok Yean, thanks for the insight but this is directed directly to you since you took the time to help me. I want to address what you addressed to me to help me finalize a decision. I agree with you opinions are biased here and alays will be. With that said here is some info for you to help me out.... My mobile to mobile minutes go to family members primarily. Who offers more...tough call there. Thats all perspective....Plans no question T-Mobile offers more mins. Like I said I went from 1500 mins down to 900 with Verizon Employee discount is .7% better with Verizon that T-Mobile. 14.3 vs 15. Coverage issues no doubt go to Verizon. Both services work primarily where I go however Verizon has stronger signals in certain places. Where as with T-...

Islander37, which carrier do your family use? Will the mobile to mobile minutes be more cost effective to you? VZW and T-Mo do cover your area,, but with T-Mo you have to move around to get a signal at times. If you don't mind being a moving antenna and most of your mobile to mobile minutes are with T-Mo, go with T-Mo. If you can get buy with VZW's plan, go with VZW. VZW does have a large CDMA footprint, just make sure you have a phone that gives you the better roam options for your area or areas to plan to attend ( VZW's CDMA, CDMA (roam), and TDMA. This way you can force your phone to roam if needed.

Since no one has yet touched on this. T-Mobile gives our customers the option of M2M because if you don't know anyone who has TMO we're not going to make you pay for a feature you're not going to use unlike other carriers. That's one of the reasons our rate plans are so low.

You may not want to go above a $50/month bill, but with that type of mindset you're not going to find the right rate plan and features that will give you everything you need.

At least 50% of my customers are on the 600 MyFaves plan with unl nts & wknds, M2M, insurance, & 400 text messages for $70/month + taxes. The 1000 MyFaves w/ all the same features is around $80/month. The 1500 MyFaves plan w/ all above features is around $90/month.
The non-MyFaves prices are ...
