Wow! Your parents must be so proud. Tell me something though. How does a stolen phone turn into a phone that has not been stolen? I'm curious cause then I could steal all the phones in the world and then magically "un" steal them. I thank you....

What a model citizen you are. Buying stolen merchandise is just as bad as stealing it. Turn the jerk that sold it to you in. That's the only moral thing to do.

well know that someone out there has a missing phone and probably has to pay an arm and leg to get a new phone, your contributing to fraud, you can do the right thing and turn it into T-mobile. its pretty much up to you, and next time you buy something make sure its from an honest source

Right 😁 He just robbed several liquor stores, snatched some purses along the way but you wont turn him in because, "What if my team loses without their quarterback?" Gotcha. 😁

Turning it in to the local authorities or the nearest tmo corporate would be the right thing to do. If you decide to use it for your own personal use, sooner or later your conscience(providing you have one) will kick your rear and you will turn it in. While you're at it why not have your local police look into this "shady" character.

Are you serious??? Call the police for what? Ratting is just as bad as stealing.

You are probbly one of those people who calls the cops for everything like noisy neighbors.

Ratting is only as bad as stealing when your moral compass is determined by people who do bad things.

Doesn't Tmo have a way to turn in stolen esn's or something? If it's been stolen, won't the computer stop the transfer to that phone?

Just wondering.

GSM is different than CDMA. T-Mo doesn't have a database of stolen serial numbers. It's tougher for GSM b/c all you have to do is put your sim card in the phone rather than activate the phone on your line. They do have a blacklist of IMEI's in Europe, I've heard, but not here yet. I'm figuring it would need the compliance of all GSM carriers in the US to properly work.
